Need to interview a nurse can anyone help me????

Published

Hi,

My name is Kelly and I am a senior nursing student at Holy Family University. I am currently in my last semester and I am taking community nursing. I have a project do and part of it includes me interviewing a nurse on "rurual and migrant health care delivery." Some of the things I may ask include what the difference between the two are or what have you seen related to this. If anyone could help me I would greatly appreciate it. I also need to interview a patient so if you could help me with that I would also appreciate it.

Thank you

K.Otero

In case you haven't found someone to interview yet, here is my suggestion:

Go to HRSA's website and do a search for clinics labeled as migrant or rural health centers in your state. Go to HRSA Data Warehouse - Report Tool - One Click Report Filter Selection

A list of clinics will populate in PDF format, and the contact info and the facility's designation as migrant or rural will be listed. Select a couple of centers to cold call and see what kind of response you get.

Contact the community instructor at UTEP. She does a lot of research with this population since we are right on the border. Just got to The University of Texas at El Paso Home look under search faculty and staff icon to the side of the page and search. Send her an email.

Specializes in ER, ICU.

Contact the Salud Family Health Center in Fort Lupton, CO. They are a large system that was originally created for migrant health. They go out in vans to migrant sites every year. There might be someone there who could help you.
