My name is Gayle I cureently live in NY and attend a NY COllege for nursing. I graduate next week and I will be relocating To PA. I would like to know can I take the State boards for RN in PA or do I have to take them in N.Y and then transfer it.Second I would like to get an idea what a staff nurse salary in PA and compare it to Northeast.New jersey.If I decided to work in Northeast New Jersey can I do the same thing as far as licensing. since I am close to the border of New jersey I have a few options.:balloons: :balloons: Is it union and which union is it

You can take the state boards anywhere and have the results sent to any state. For example....If you wanted to take the state boards while on vacation in HI, you could do that and just have the results sent to the state of NJ or PA.
As for salaries, sorry I can't help you there...I work in western PA. Our hospital is unionized, but different unions can be in different hospitals.
