need info for quads

None of us can help not knowing more information regarding locale, personal financial history, medical history, preexisting medical information, that sort of intense information.

If you are in a hurry to get this accomplished, the social worker responsible for his discharge planning at the hospital/nursing home/rehab center should be contacted as soon as possible. That would be a springboard.

Some nonprofit agencies will contribute gently used durable medical equipment to the cause if you get with the right person regarding these needs. Churches, shelters of support for persons with disabilities, independent companies of professional philanthropists, clergy in the area, but definitely the discharge social worker and or the discharge planner of the facility he was last discharged from should be of some help. That is their job. Good luck. Think Medicaid/Medicare routes, too. Hope that this partial list is at least a start of help for you and him. Let us know.

thank you for the info, although the social worker at the nursing home he is in has been assisting him, sometimes i wonder how much, simply because that means they lose a patient/income to their facility. He is on medicare with SS, and his total income is less than $1000.00/ month. His new rent will be more than half his monthly income. He wants to do so much of the process on his own, as that is the only control he has, but I thought if i could find some info he might not come across, it may help. He will be taken care of through CareStar..and he will have Independent Providers come in for his care, although CareStar is only allowed to give him 16 hours a day, which leaves him alone for 8 hours a day. I will check into your suggestions. Thanks again. :lol2:
