Hey fellow stressed out students, I come to the board seeking help from anyone was has had to write 5 pages in apa about caring? My mojo just isn't working in coming up with anything. I need several sources 6 to be exact. I am in an accelerated BSN program so time is short and stress is great supply. Anyone who can lend a hand and clue me in to certain articles our even ideas is greatly appreciated.

this is one of those metaphysical/philosophical things. there really are no right or wrong answers. why don't you try looking at the dictionary definitions of care and caring and work from there. in first nursing classes this concept of caring gets tossed around a lot. health is another term instructors like to toss around. it's like asking "what is love?" every answer is going to be correct. however, the secondary goal of this exercise is to get you to write. so make sure your writing is clear, organized and as grammar perfect as you can make it. the third goal of this exercise is to get you accustomed to setting up your paper in the apa style and citing references to back up the ideas you present in the paper. if you are in a bsn program you can pretty much count on having to do a lot of papers on many different subjects in nursing that are to be presented in apa style and referenced.
here is a site for the landmarks citation machine which will help you set up your references on your bibliography page. you will probably have to go to temp site one or two to actually get to the machine (they have been swamped recently because of students completing papers who are using the site). all you need to do is choose the type of resource you are referencing from the list on the left side of the page, fill in the information in the boxes you are given, press a button and the citation machine will assemble that information into both apa and mla styles. all you have to do is copy and paste the apa citation onto your bibliography page. this will save you a lot of time trying to figure out how to set up individual reference sources in correct apa style.

Don't have any real one idea that would fill that many pages. But maybe try to incorporate some of those nursing theories schools love so much. My school was all about Betty Neuman.Don't remember a darn thing now but I know she took a lot of our time and probably wrote a few things you could use as sources, along with the other theorists.
Anyway good luck!
