I have lived in US already but I couldn't do anything to get myself better. I failed CGFNS 2 years ago and I had given up. But now I want to fight again. I want to have the futuer..others can do it so I can do it too...right? I try to contact CGFNS to get information about reapply and I have a question for them. That is my old licens expired and I have the new one with me now.
So what should I do? CGFNS forget to reply me.
And If anyone know about how to apply to get the licens from the state that dosen't require CGFNS and social number...please tell me.
Thank you

First of all, are you currently living in the USA? If so, what type of visa are you on? If you are applying for a green card, you will need to go through CGFNS no matter what to complete the Visa Screen process. It is only offered through them. Two states that come to mind that don't require the CGFNS exam are California and New York. However, with New York you will also need to complete a certification for them, again through CGFNS.
If you took the exam two years ago, you will need to reapply with new credentials. If you have any more questions, you can send me a PM.
And have you completed the required English exams?

Hello, Arayav.
Please feel free to PM me :) . I am a practicing RN here in California and got my green card through a sponsorship from an employer. If you're already in the US, your best bet is absolutely to try passing the CGFNS, there is no question about that. You have to target the reasons why you are not passing - is it the clinical aspect of nursing or the English part where you have difficulty understanding the questions. You will need the CGFNS certificate wherever you practice here. What field of work are you currently in? My suggestion is in the meantime look for a CNA or Certified Nursing Assistant job in a long term care facility. They are usually good in sponsoring nurses and you can do that once you have passed your CGFNS, then pass your RN-NCLEX to get licensed as an RN in the state where you want to practice. Absolutely - fight again! Do not lose hope, there are a lot of opportunities out there and you should grab them while you are waiting to pass your CGFNS. One obstacle you have passed through is getting here - you are here :rotfl: - so make the most out of it. PM me if you want to, I'd be happy to share. Take care and pursue. :balloons:

Hello Arayav :)
I don't have any answers to your questions, but I like your spirit. Never give up. Where there is a will, there IS a way ! Someone here might be able to lead you in the right direction to get you back on track.
Keep fighting !
There is an American saying "winners never quit, and quitters never win."
Wish you only the best in your endeavors.
Thanks, Jnette - we need thinkers, "encouragers", and movers like you.
Have you sent in for your exam yet? You still have time to get your materials in to be able to take the exam in July for CGFNS, but the time is running short.
Keep us posted. :balloons:
