Need Help--Moving to MD next year

I'm an RN working on a telemetry unit in SC. I have been an RN for 2 years, and before that, I was an LPN for 14 years. I am interested in pay and benefits in MD hospitals, how to go about changing my license (I live in a compact state), etc...

I am looking to move in the Columbia area, or generally in that vicinity. My boyfriend works in Germantown but commute isn't a problem.

I don't know where to begin to look for work. At the hospital I work now, I was given half time credit towards experience for my LPN years (i.e. 7 years experience towards my RN). I was curious if places up in MD did the same thing. If so, I will have 2 1/2 years actual RN experience and the LPN time as well. I have ACLS, BLS and NIH Stroke Scale certification. What sort of salary can I expect? Where should I look? I am begging for any advice I can get!

I'd guess you would probably be looking at around $30 an hour + shift diff. There are a ton of hospitals around here.
