Hi I need help filling out a nurse flow sheet for a class I am taking I AM NOT IN ANY WAY A NURSE OR PHYSICALLY ILL OR AFFILIATED WITH ANY HOSPITAL OR TREATING ANYONE OR well you get the idea
Anyway my PRETEND pt was admitted with severe Legionnaires disease but the doctors dont know it yet. My question is with a pt with moderate dehydration and who is coughing up about 70 mL of blood every 12 hours how much would the ER normally give the pt po in mL to eat and how much (factoring in the 70mL of blood and dehydration) would the pt urinate. rough estimates are fine ANYTHING will be of help. I've been looking for this information for 4 hours.
Also would they have hooked the pt up to an IV?
Thank you

Someone throwing up blood... yeah, pretty sure I wouldn't want them to be taking anything PO. Definitely hook them up to IV fluids
