I am in my final semester of an ADN program, I love learning the material, and have no problems with studying. My issue is clinicals, right now we have a prof who is nice but as soon as you start your day she just yells all day, why did you not do this, what are you doing etc. I am already nervous to begin with so this makes it worse. I really want to do well and pass this semester. What can I do to ease my nerves, deal with all the yelling. I feel quite down about this whole thing right now.:crying2:I am having serious doubt about wanting to be a nurse at this point I just don't want to work in an environment where people yell all the time.

I think the best thing you could do is do be really prepared for your clinical day. Once you know who your patient is... read up on the disease process or learn the meds quick. That way you can hopefully impress this instructor and she/he might let up on you. Sometimes insturctors are harsh until students have proven that they are safe practicing student nurses.
P.S. Don't give up on nursing just because of this instructor. I am a firm believer in killing people with kindness! :)
