I am in my first semester in the nursing program after years of being on waiting lists and am having problems. I'm excelling in the clinical aspect of it; that part just comes so natural to me. However, I am REALLY struggling in the exam portion of it. I had my last exam today and literally studied 2-3 hours everyday for the past 2 weeks and still only pulled a 78 off on the test and I've had not so great grades on the past exams as well. I am right on the edge of the pass/fail and only have the Fundamentals Hesi Exam left to take as our final comprehensive exam and in order for me to pass the class I need an 80 on that exam. PLEASE HELP ME!!! I already have a BS and have had to completely re-do my study habits and obviously I'm still doing something wrong and any info on the HESI would be GREATLY appreciated.
Thanks so much for any help!!!

What methods are your using to study? I recently passed NCLEX and found that nursing school test and NCLEX questions vary somewhat. If you have the Saunder's Comprehensive Review book, the questions w/ rationales may help you prepare. Go to your instructors and ask them their suggestions for how to prepare for the test, and what supplemental study tools they recommend. Do this early because the subject matter will continue getting harder. Good luck to you!
