Need advice on next steps to pursue nursing school

I am confused on what to do, I have taken the older version of the teas and got a passing score, nearly all community college schools in san diego area are requiring the newer version. I would take the newer one and apply again but I feel like it would be a waste of time because I dont have a good amount of points. I have previous applied at a local community college when they were still accepting the older version and didn't get in. I really want to become an registered nurse. I am just wondering does anyone know of a school/program or something for nursing that I could apply for that is not so competitive? Look forward to any suggestions.
