i need advice/help/info about registering at prc

Published

i just found out that i passed the nle june 2007, its taken so long for them to release the results.. anyway my mom decided that i shouldn't wait for the results anymore because she, nor did i, think that i would pass it.. but i did (And im sooo happy about that congratulations to those who passed too!) and the thing is.. i'm already here in canada.. (but i need to be registered back there in the phils before i can have myself assessed, work a while, take their test, pass it and be a nurse here) is it possible to give a letter of authorization for someone to do the filing process there in the philippines instead? because i read the paper with the names of those who passed and it said that the oath taking is on october 2 (but thats only for those who live in manila, no word yet for those in cebu) and i've been told, correct me if i'm wrong, that its okay to not join the oath taking as long as you do it under a government official so i'll probably try to do my oath taking here in the philippine embassy.. my problem is the processing of my license (which is scheduled on november) because it said that i have to sign the roster for professionals and bring all the things required like the pictures/cedulla and etc PERSONALLY... on a side note is it okay, if ever the authorization that im giving is granted, to use just a scanned version of my cedulla?

im really sorry if im posting in the wrong thread or that if i have so many questions.. i would really appreciate it if anyone can give me any information about my predicament.. and thank you

i would suggest to call PRC here in manila to verify things regarding your queries.

We have a very similar situation, I am now out of country and I have no means of getting back to Phils. in time for the registration process (oct.2). I have tried entering the PRC website but it just doesn't work anymore! If you learn anything on how to register without personally appearing, please do inform me. I will also give you news if I learn something new  thanks

hi! thanks for the congratulations! i dont feel very festive about it anymore.. i asked a cousin of mine to try and ask the prc, in cebu and they told her that they, prc cebu, don't have the authority about that and that i should call prc manila.. exactly like what you said.. and i've been trying to access the site for prc but it seems down.. i also found out from my cousin that there are a lot of people out there that are in the same predicament as i am.. this sucks.. i wish they would've released the results sooner..

Registering at PRC is actually in alphabetical order because of the sheer number of applicants and it usually takes a couple of months before everyone can be registered. This batch is currently the biggest yet because, so some applicants may only be allowed to register by Nov. or Dec. for those w/ surnames on the latter part of the alphabet or it may even reach up to the 1st month of next year. Anyway, you can still register even after the alphabetically-scheduled registration ends. There are no expiration or deadline for registrants.

No one can proxy for you to register. You have to be there personally. You will be signing documents and pictures, etc.. Scanned versions or photocopies of a cedulla are not accepted. It will defeat it's purpose.

You can still register at a later date.

does that apply for the non manila residents? because i'm not from manila and my friends who also passed the exam said that the prc in cebu may start the initial registration next week... but i'm glad to hear that there is no deadline or expiration date for the registration.. does that go for the oath taking too? i've heard that its okay to have your oath taking under a government official, or even here in the philippine embassy in canada but they're requiring that i bring the official examination results and the form.. does that mean i have to register first before i do the oath taking? or which comes first? i'm confused right now.. and sorry for having so many questions again.

i know that registration by proxy is possible, i talked to the legal counsel of prc cebu, she told me you need a power of atty document. for more infos please inquire PRC office.

You may refer to croissant's reply in post #8 if you really can't do it personally.

You can take your oath anytime and with any Phil. Gov't official here or in consulates abroad. It doesn't have to be on the scheduled time and venue indicated on the tickets.

This also goes to everyone else unable to make it on the scheduled oath-taking in PH for whatever reason. If someone is telling you otherwise and forcing you to buy tickets, remind them what PRC did before when there was the blitzkrieg and impromptu oath-taking done w/in the premises of PRC Manila to beat the TRO to stop the scheduled oath-taking for the June 2006 batch.

Your friend should follow what is done in Cebu. Their schedule usually differs from each other.
