need advice on choosing a college

Hi! I was accepted into the ADN program at El Centro college, Northlake campus. I also applied at NCTC in Gainesville. I was wondering if anyone has attended either one of these schools and could give me some input. I will be starting class in Jan. 2005 and need to decide which school to attend. I also posted this message in the Introduction and Greetings forum but decided I might get more information if I posted this message in the Texas forum.:rolleyes:

Congrats on just getting in..WOW. Here is what I know..A friend of mine went to El Centro hated it ,quit and finished through EC.I have heard countless people tell me that NCTC is the best. I guess it depends on you ,where you live and such..Good luck to you..... Just my opinion ,I would go to NCTC.. But,Do whats best for you!!!

I am in the ADN program at NCTC and I LOVE it!!! The professors here seem to really care about us, and honestly want us to do well. My fellow students are wonderful--we all get along fabulously. (A few years back I went to another nursing school in the Dallas area and absolutely hated it, so I can really appreciate a good thing when I see it!!)

I don't know where you live--or if that is even a factor for you--but I commute from McKinney and my gas bill is outrageous (it would probably be just as expensive if I went to Dallas b/c of all the traffic). Just something to consider.

Go with NCTC. I just graduated in December 2004. Good luck with your nursing school!
