Need Advice About Air Force Disqualification

Published

Here Is My Problem. I Was In The Process Of Joining The Air Force Nursing Corps Had My Package Done And Submitted. Then It Was Sent Back Because I Was Honorable Discharged From The Af In 1996. How Ever In 1998 I Smoked Pot. They Are Now Saying That Because I Was In The Irr This Is A Disqualifier. Does Anyone Know Of Anything That I Can Do To Be Able To Join Or If The Navy Has This Same Rule.

Ask an online Army Health Care Recruiter ;)

why did you even tell them about it?

I would talk to an Army or Air NG recruiter. The drug waiver would be processed at the state level instead of the National level.

That a good question. I was being honest but should have know it was not the best thing to do since no one wouuld have ever know but me. so now lesson learned. I will looking into the Guard in the future. I was told by my recruiter in the start that is was no big deal, but he was totally wrong.
