I believe I didn't pass the Nclex on my first try because I didn't do enough questions, and because I took it at 8am on almost zero sleep (fail at 75 yikes).. I've been studying about an hour a night and doing about 50 questions a night for the past 2 weeks. I am now 2 weeks away from trying again. I set my test up for 2pm on a Saturday. I decided I want to try and do 250-300 questions a day and look up anything I get wrong.. I work during the day, but I figure I can do 300 questions in about 4-5 hours at night. The last 3 days I'm just going to review study guides and lab values.
Any practice tests I can take that will let me know if I'm ready before I sit again? I'll push it back a month if I really have to, I just do NOT want to take it at 8am again.
Just looking for opinions..
I found another appointment so I pushed it back 5 days.. Gonna do 200 questions a night for 3 weeks instead.

Did u take any review course? I felt that hurst was a GREAT resource. I did the online review. It also comes with 6 practice tests that I thought really prepared me.

I did 6,500 questions total and passed! i studied for 2 and a half months i cant do more than 150-200 a day because my brain shuts down
Studying for 2.5 months just seems too long for me.. 5-6 weeks sounds pretty good, I have the Feuer audio review, but I'm really not that impressed for the $400 it costs. I really wanted to do an on location review, but there aren't many offered and I work full time as the VP for an online company. Its very hard for me to take more then 2 or 3 days off in a row. I feel like I'd rather read Saunders front to back then take an online review.
Saunders is good too. My friend read the whole book and did the questions and passed. My friend and I did different things but both only studied for about a week and a half. For me, that works better because if I spent 6 weeks, I would have forgotten everything from week 1 of studying.
Don't stress on doing tons and tons of questions. Do them, but don't overdo it! Make sure u know why you are picking the answer you are picking. Read rationales. I will say that I knew without a doubt why I chose my answers on the nclex.
Good luck to you when you take it again, just stay calm and have confidence.
