Just thought I'd try to start a thread for those facing the devil again...
Let's all talk about our strategy, what's working, and how we can conquer the beast

Count me in, we can conquer together. I am open for feedback/suggestions, study partners, willingly to share my test taking strategies, and my notes.
What have you been doing so far? I took mine the last week of June and failed. I used Kaplan, and had "passing scores." This time I'm doing Hurst. I'm schedule for Wednesday but I may make it Friday. I've still got the finish up specialty section and don't want to rush it.
I'm also going to do a little LaCharity...but I'm not killing myself with questions. Did that last time and it did nothing for me apparently.
I originally dl'd that giant doc with all the mnemonics, etc. but now that I've done Hurst I feel like I don't need tricks to remember because I get why. Guess that's a good sign?
I have been reviewing Comprehensive Review for NCLEX-RN (by Maryann Hogan) for the content, PDA (LaCarithy), Strategies for Alternate Item Formats (Silvestri/Mojica), Strategies for Test Success Passing the NCLEX Exam (Silvestri),and doing 100 questions every day. I used Kaplan and failed as well. I haven't scheduled for my re-test for 2nd time yet and thinking to use Hurst online Review this time because my weakness is the content area. So, I would like to know your opinion on Hurst Review particularly in the content area.
I think you are well prepared for the exam and totally agree with you about not wanting to rush it.

I am from CA looking for a study buddy. Second time taker.
I am from Minnesota though.
It doesn't matter to me that you live at Minnesota. I am open to skype studying. If you would like to skype, we can start this week. I am using similar resources that you are using, except I have couple extra resources. I am open to share my own notes. Send me a PM and we can discuss the rest :-)

I cannot PM you. My PM is disabled because I have not actively participated on the site.
