Hello all,
I know this topic has been discussed to death! But i need to express my feelings about this. I just took NCLEX for the 2nd time this morning. The first time I was a complete wreck. Anxiety got the best of me and I rushed through the test. It finally stopped at #113 and I failed. This time around, I read through the questions thoroughly, took a break, didn't rush and answered the questions the best I could and it stopped at #97. I actually spent a little more time at the testing center about 30min more than the first time. I felt good during the test and afterwards. But this time I remembered the last question and looked it up at the bookstore and found out I got it wrong! Now I know that it usually isn't the best indicator of whether I passed or failed but, I realize that the last question was a recall/recognition question! Does this mean that I was below the level of minimum competency and that last question was enough to determine that I failed? I had quite a few priority questions and felt good about answering them, but when I found out about the last question I'm starting to actually believe that I failed... Also I've read that if the test shuts off ONLY at 75 or ONLY at 265 then it DOESN'T matter if you got the last question right or wrong. I only made it to 97. What do you guys think? PLEEEAAASSSE reply.
Sincerely,
MIKE

I think this means you got the last question wrong. That's all you really know until you get your results. I hope you passed. It is a tough test and it must be awful to have to retake. Best of luck to you!

Good luck to you. Don't stress over it too much, when I came home I also looked up some answers.
But heads up, as part of the confidentiality agreement, you are not allowed to post any specific questions or answers anywhere - that means if you did pass, your license can be revoked. You might want to edit out that question, JIC. (I know it's not likely you'll be traced, but I myself am paranoid about those kind of things)

As mentioned you signed a confidentiality agreement when you took the NCLEX so I have edited your post and removed the question you posted due to copyright laws and TOS. Many have passed and failed with different number of questions. Have also moved your post to the NCLEX forum where I am sure you will get much support from other members in the same boat. Good luck
Thanks to piki and silverdragon. Silverdragon I know you have edited the post. And so have I as soon as I saw piki's comment about confidentiality agreement. THANKS.
Even though I still think I failed, I hope to god I pass! Keep you all posted!

Good luck and try not to worry although I know that is hard to do.

Hi. I think we are in the same boat. I took my test again too and went to 140 something. I got the last question wrong because I read up on it afterwards. I haven't heard and it's not posted on the BRN website....and it's been 1 1/2 weeks. I'm thinking I failed, so I have started to study again and I'm going to take it again ASAP. Good Luck to you. I wish you the best. Keep us posted on your passing:monkeydance:!

I had 109 questions and passed, talk about a odd number so you can pass with a odd 97. I am new to the site as far as posting yet I always read the threads on here. This website got me through a tough time when it came to NCLEX, the people on here keep your spirits high during the time that you are waiting for your results. Keep the faith, I was feeling the same way you do right now.
P.S
I took the test twice also, first time I had all 265 questions. I recently passed last week.
