hi everyone it has been a while since i have posted. i took my nclex the first time on august 8th, got all 265 and failed. i scheduled the next test for sept. 27th...then didn't feel ready...rescheduled to oct. 27th..still didn't feel ready so i rescheduled again to nov. 7th...well i happened to check the pearson website yesterday and it still had me scheduled for oct. 27th....something must have happened when i scheduled for nov. 7th...oh well too late to change things because it was less than 24 hours...i was flippin out yesterday thinking i am not ready to take this test tomorrow!! called pearson this morning..nothing can be done..so i have nothing to lose but go and take the test. so my appt. was at 12:15...got there at 11:30 and checked in...they let me start the test at 11:45am. :up: i didn't really feel too nervous this time, :yeah:i don't know why...i really could have used alot more study time though...the computer shut off at 75 questions...no math, 3 sata!!! i thought some of the questions seemed too easy, so right away i am thinking i failed. can't help it...so now i am playing this mind game with myself...did i pass?? how could i have passed with the amount of studying i did? did i do enough? maybe i did...etc etc. i am sure you all know the mind games you go through after the exam.:bugeyes:

so now i can't stop thinking did i pass or not...everyone is telling me, you passed don't worry about it....but that nagging thought of what if i didn't pass is still in my mind..:banghead:

what do you think the chances are that i passed at 75 :confused:this time, when up until yesterday at 6:00pm i thought i was taking the exam nov. 7th...my friend tells me i do better when my back is against the wall...just like in nursing school...i sure hope this friend is right.....any advice would be appreciated....i will know wednesday!!!!!!!

Best of luck to you, but there is not one way to determine if you passed or not. It is impossible to second guess what the results will be. And the number of questions has no bearing on your results, nor getting the last question right or wrong.

Having no math questions is actually in your favor, and there is no reason that you need to see them on your exam to pass. But again, you are going to need to wait for your results to be released.

good luck did you do suzannes plan?

:hngon:Hang In There! Good luck. It is still possible to pass regardless of the number of questions. Try to distract yourself while you wait for your results.

I didn't follow the plan exactly..I did a little from Saunders, Kaplan and NCLEX 4000...I got a TON of priority I can't even keep track how many but it was a TON...does anyone know if they are the higher level questions...getting no math calculations is in my favor? Really? Why is that? I thought that was a bad sign....hmmmmm

i took mine today too October 27th, answered all the 265 questions, only 2 Sata, lots and lots of prioritization who will u see first, infection control, mostly content. i felt drained and exhausted, don't feel too good about it, but all that keeps me going is that GOD CAN MAKE A WAY WHERE THERE SEEMS TO BE NO WAY..... so momofthree hang in there God is in control and he will definitely make a way where there seems to be no way, God bless you.

took the exam today for the second time, the first one was in August 15, failed with 265 questions, results came back and they were all near passing standard except for infection control, so i used that to prepare intensively, i used saunders 4th edition, Exam cram, kaplan questions in their book was not in their review class.

well the time finally came and i had diarrhea twice this morning, got to exam,i actually felt good abt the first couple of questions, after 75 questions the computer didn't shut down, oh well, took only one break and to my amazement all the 265 questions showed up again, i felt like crying in the exam room, all i kept saying was please shut down but it didn't. had only 2 sata, no math, growth and development, psych, who will u see first, infection control and mostly content. i felt numb when the questions started repeating itself......

i can't afford to fail this time around too, i have been trying to stay positive but....MY GOD IS ABLE, AND HE MAKES A WAY WHERE THERE SEEMS TO BE NO WAY, SO IF I PASS THEN THAT WILL BE FROM GOD EITHER THAN THAT I THINK I FAILED AGAIN...... :cry:

The exam is very aware of what you had to know to get thru your training. You had three chances to pass the mandatory calculations/math exam; if you did not pass it then you were removed from your program.

The exam is interested in what you are going to do with information that you already have in your brain; what you will do first, who you will see first, etc.

Math questions are routinely considered as being of a lower format question in most cases so this is not something that you want to see on your exam.

Math questions are not needed to pass the exam.

Best of luck to you while you wait for your results.

i passed by the grace of God, believe me when i see God can make a way where there seems to be no way......ALWAYS BELIEVE IN GOD

Congratulations!!!:yeah::yeah::yeah:
