hello all,
So here is my story I have failed nclex twice. The first time I used Kaplan which didn't really help because I felt very weak with my content and did not understand the strategies as well as I should. I also never met the 60% BENCH MARK I was always close enough such as 57%, 58%, ETC... The second time I used Hurst review book and saunders for questions because i have heard some good things about it. This time I felt well prepared and scored wonderfully on practice tests. I reviewed all my content and scored above a 75% on tests and was even breaking down the questions when trying to come up with an answer. The one thing I did not do was go over the priority questions because I thought it was EASY (clearly it was not). My test the second time around was all priority which made me very anxious to the point that I was second guessing myself. So long story short the first time I did nothing but questions very little content. Second time I did a lot of content and about 50 questions a day. This time I have decided to purchase NCSBN 3 week course as well as La Charity priority and delegation book. I plan to do at least 150 questions a day. I was wondering if anyone can suggest another form of studying or any ideas on how to better prepare for the exam.

out of curiosity... how many days did you take to go through the hurst review? it's roughly 40 hours... but i know people play 8 hours of information a day... how long did it take you?

Hi! I'm in the same exact boat. Did Kaplan the first time and was lacking in content - failed exam at 168 questions. Did Saunders and Lippincott the second time and focused more on content and didn't do enough priority questions - failed exam at 98. I am now planning to do NCSBN and re-enroll in Kaplan. Did you already take it the 3rd time?
