Hi, how long does it take to receive nclex results.

Expect to wait 4 to 6 weeks if you are in California since this state does not participate in the quick results program. You will receive your result by mail because California does not post LVN results online (since a license has not yet been paid for).

man i just took my nclex-pn 2 days ago and i am soooo anxious about my results. my comp stopped arount 95 questions does this mean i fail??? im soo scared cuz my friend failed. i studied my butt off for 4 months. hopefully it pays off once i get my results. im certained i failed thought cuz i guessed on most of the questions n ive been cryin for 2 days. lord help me.
:coollook:Hello deebabygirl, take it easy. The computer shutting down around #95 doesn't mean anything, it doesn't mean you have passed or failed. I know the feeling u are in, it is not cool but you got to cool down and get busy with something for the next two to three weeks. I took the exam on the 10th of December and my results came out 27 days after. Guess what, I was counting every single day. One of my friends took the exam on the 3rd of December and got her results exactly 2 weeks after the exam, her computer shut down at 85 and she passed. My computer shut down around #100, took 27 DAYS for the results to be out and I PASSED. Keep BUSY, if crying gives u some relief, fine. But don't cry your head off....there is always light at the end of the tunnel. Spend some time in the Gym, watch Tv, read anything BUT nursing books and if you believe in the spiritual, DO A LOT OF PRAYING; THAT HELPS
Good luck!!!
thanks for the advice. but whatever i do nclex is always on my mind! arghhhh... i hate the waiting period. what kind of envelope did u get? i heard that there is a small envelope for pass, n a big envelope for failure? true?

Hi everyone! I graduated from the LVN program in July 2008 from NCP in Hayward. I had just taken my NCLEX-PN last Monday, January 12th and stopped at 85. I started really studying beginning in Dec. off and on. I only got up to Lesson 3 in the NCSBN learningext.com website before it expired! I stopped studying for awhile during the holidays, then studied again for 1 week straight before the test. I used the orange Saunders book as well as the CD that came with it. I felt like I didn't study much and felt very nervous that it wasn't enough to prepare me! It took me almost 2 hours to do the whole exam before it shut me off at 85! I was so nervous, that I took my time and made sure to be careful to read the question and each of the options! I didn't have any math or dosage calculations at all, I had about 5 or 6 select all that apply, lots of pharmacology/ med questions which I did not know what most of the meds were, and the bulk of my questions consisted of prioritizing! I was not sure how I did! I was 50/50 and on the fence on whether or not I passed! It has been a week since taking the exam and every one of my classmates have passed so far. A lot of them got their results in the mail in about 2 weeks, give or take a few days and have received a standard sized envelope. However, one of them showed me a way of finding out your results online. She found out she passed before she received the letter in the mail! I asked her how she found this method and she told me one of our other classmates told her about it. She walked me through the whole process:
You log in to the Pearson Vue website with your account username and password. On the left column, you click on Register and re-register again as if you are scheduling your NCLEX-PN exam again and paying $200 for it. Whether you say it's your first time taking the test or not, doesn't really matter. You select your school, board of nursing, etc. Once you click Next or Submit, if it says you already took the test, to contact the board, and can't schedule it again....it means you passed. If it's asking for your credit card information to pay for it so you can schedule the exam, then you failed. I got the first message, which means I passed. BUT I'm not sure how reliable this method is! I'm the type of person that has to see it to believe it, so I'm still waiting for the letter in the mail just to be sure! I don't want to get my hopes up!
I would like to see if this really works though! I want to get a poll started and see if it's true for everyone....pass or fail! Once I get the letter in the mail, I'll come back on here and let you guys know if I really passed it! You guys do the same...try this process and then wait for your letter in the mail and see if it matches the message that you get from Pearson Vue (unable to schedule another test= pass, able to pay for and schedule another test= fail). It sort of does make sense though because if you failed it and have to retake it again, the website would allow you to schedule it again and pay another $200 to take the test. I know you have to wait 45 days to take it again, but that's to actually take it, not wait 45 days to schedule it! I think you can schedule it right away once you find out if you failed, but you have to schedule it 45 days from the 1st time you took it. Hope this helps everyone's anxiety! I can't sit still either!

I tried the NCLEX-PN registration trick. and it let me register all the way to the payment!? Does that mean I failed:banghead:. I took my test on the 01-14-09 and it took me 2hr to stop @ 85q's. Maybe I shouldn't have tried to register and see if it would not let me. I already feel like I failed:barf02:
now, now.. dont be a negative thinker.. u will never know unless the result is out.. goodluck to u! and dont give up! u can do it! ^_^
