I am a nursing student in my final semester. I am on the verge of signing up for a Kaplan preparatory course. Anyone have any input?

Welcome to AN! If you head on over to the NCLEX forum (under the students tab in the yellow bar across the top), you will be able to find a plethora of threads discussing NCLEX prep courses and tips for studying.

Kaplan is awesome! The NCLEX looks exactly the same way Kaplan's format is set up. The questions are all passing level questions so no fluff. I also used PDA, Lippincott Q&A and Saunders as a review.

I would recommend KAPLAN if you want to get a better understanding on how to tackle questions.

Although I haven't taken my test yet, I am utilizing Kaplan. If you are good content and want ways of how to answer questions with quick rationales, Kaplan is the way to go! [:

I do not think I would have passed on my first try without Kaplan. However everyone learns differently and so nothing is a one size fits all solution. Kaplan is extremely helpful but so are other courses and preps.
SO, I passed! Kaplan was one of the tools that helped me make NCLEX look easy in my opinion! GOOD LUCK
