Good luck!
Hey, I finished the nclex, and can't believe it but I got the popup that will not let me register. I am so excited, and terrified also. I will get the official results in 48 hours.
I am amazed, and excited. Just a few after thoughts on the test. The test questions were not as difficult as Kaplan, but for me I used my basic understanding alot. When I did not have an answer, I answered based on understanding and elimination. Test taking strategy does help also.
I finished with 75 questions. I used Saunders, Kaplan, Hurst, ATI, Feuer, Davis, and Lipprocat alternative questions, and sections of exam cram.
My best advice is to study what reference you relate to most as all have some good parts. Learn content so you can think with the questions, and learn test taking strategies so you have a plan should you not know the answers. Don't let anxiety get the best of you as that is the worst thing to be afraid of. Also, having a support system really helps so this website was a great help for me.
During the exam, I did deep breathing exercises, and prayed. This really helped.
If I can be of any help, let me know.
Yay! Congrats :) i've herd the good popup is 99%accurate. How did you feel about the sata. I take mine soon
Congrats!! Awesome job
I did not get tons of sata like the others. Maybe 7. For me the key was understanding what was happening. So know your basics, and try to understand what is happening.
The questions do not really stick out on my mind, the main thing was though I did not hear of something, I went with my basic concepts and that is what did it. So knowing core material and understanding the patho of the core material is key. Not just so you can pick out one right answer, but so you really can understand the core content. I used Hurst and Feuer for content.
I tested my knowledge using ATI which my school gave to students, and used Davis to practice on weak areas. Davis also has an option that explains how to pick an answer, and it proved to be very helpful on the test. I also answered all of the Feuer test questions.
For me, the questions were on par with Davis (3rd edition). Davis has sati questions built into the test questions on cd, and that was sufficient.
