If you guys had to make an NCLEX survival kit, what would you put in them? I'm making some for a few students and including things like; granola bars, tissues and an inspirational quote. I'm not sure what else to put in them! Pinterest has a bunch for "new nurses" or "nursing students" but I want to make an NCLEX one since we are so close to graduation. Any thoughts?
I know you can't take anything with you in the room, this is stuff for right before/after the exam.
Thanks everyone!

A voucher for $200 to waste doing the PVT so they can obsess about whether the PVT really works--and whether they really passed/failed ðŸ˜

If you're doing only a few (& I don't know your spending range..), Itunes gift cards with low amounts so they can download NCLEX question apps.
I used them during school & after and think it helped. As it was on my phone I could look at a few waiting in line at walmart or mcdonalds...you gotta do what you gotta do!!

For while they are studying:
Phone numbers of classmates to form a study group (with their permission)
Large water bottle
Card with the hours of the school library (great place to study)
A gift card to starbucks (another good place to study)
Granola bars are good-any high protein snack
I like the iTunes idea. There is also a phone app for practice questions, I don't think that is too expensive either
Amazon has pharmacology flash cards that are awesome for around $25 if you budget allows.

Do you mean like a rubber band to remind you to be flexible. An eraser to remind you we all make mistakes... Chocolate well because we all need an emergency PRN chocolate bar!
All great ideas guys thank you!! JustBeachyNurse I saw that idea on pinterest but my school already made those for us during Nurses Week. I was trying to be somewhat original lol sadly I'm not the most creative person 😯
Hahaha I love it!!!! I've told myself I WILL NOT do the PVT! Stay strong and wait for quick results or my license to post!

NO clue what your budget might be, but if it were *ME*, I'd want a movie on DVD that's good, and fun, and light. You'd have to know your recipient well enough to choose (or a gift certificate to FYE!!)
Then....really comfy socks, the kind that feel squishy and warm and make you relax just by touching them :)

Sweet idea. Like some of the ideas already mentioned.
I got a little something for our favorite tech when she took boards but it included alcohol so you're probably not leaning that way. And no, I didn't encourage her to drink right before the exam.
What oddly popped in my head was that you guys could use an awesome rock out kick butt I can do anything hear me roar kinda song as your exam anthem. Totally dating myself here, but Eye of the Tiger can really pump you up! Just choose a song you think would go over well and have them download to their (and your) phones....play it you need a pick me up and right before heading into the test center. Positive affirmation with a beat!
Also something to occupy your time after the test.
**If you are like almost everyone I've talked to about this, you will feel like you FAILED. -- If you're like +/- 85% of the US educated test takers, you're worries were unnecessary and you passed! **
Good luck!
Awesome Ideas guys! Here's what I got
Tissues - for (hopefully) happy tears
Mini bottle - to calm the nerves (but not right before the exam lol)
Tylenol - for all the headaches of studying
Protein Bar - in case breakfast is missed
Smarties candy - only a smarty pants could make it through nursing school
Inspirational message and a personal message
I like the idea of downloading that song! We used to play "Eye of the Tiger" before big games in high school! Although it's been a few years, it still gets me pumped up!
So, this is what I came up with! Affordable and easy! I hope they like it 😊
