NCLEX is 4 semesters away.... Not sure how to prepare for this test...

Published

I am a 3rd semester nursing student at Purdue North Central. This semester has been a complete whirlwind thus far, and I am told that I should be preparing for the NCLEX exam "NOW" and it is 4 semesters away.... I am in a complete quandary as to what information I should focus on, and I am not able to devote much time to it at this point in the semester (16 credit hours)...(mid terms are approaching) (finals and final assessments will be creeping up shortly there after)... I am hoping that someone here could please navigate me in the right direction as far as the best study material that "works", and how to support a time management system so that I am able to cover all of the material that could possibly be presented. I am a very disciplined motivated individual, and for the first time in my life I feel like I am a complete disorganized scattered mess~ Help!

My advice would be to concentrate on your classes right now, you still have 4 semesters left. I will say that if you are using your Saunders NCLEX book (or whatever book they supply you with) while studying for class exams, then you are already on the right track to getting used to NCLEX style questions. Don't get so overwhelmed that it begins to interfere with classwork you have time don't worry!
