Hi guys, I'm taking the NCLEX-RN tomorrow morning and I'm wondering if they will tell me in the math questions which number to round to? Or will they accept several answers in regards to rounding, commas, etc?
Any other advice from veteran NCLEX takers? Should I not bring any study material for the train ride b/c they don't allow that, right?
I'm nervous but I'm also looking forward to getting it over with! Thanks for any advice anyone can give me!

Already a couple of threads on maths and a few posted their experiences on the exam, check them out
Your right, I searched AFTER I posted like a ninny. I'm so fried I'm acting like a moron.
Hopefully I'll have a clearer head tomorrow!!! I'm happy to have learned that they will tell us which number to round to on the NCLEX

Go do something for yourself today and put away every piece of paper with prep things on it.
The worst possible thing is to try and cram at this time. Bad idea.
Go to lunch and perhaps even go to a movie and get a manicure/pedicure.
Enjoy your time just for you and that means away from the computer as well.
Best of luck on your exam.

Both centers I went to (for my LPN and RN) offered lockers where you had to put everything so I would at least bring some note cards, maybe lab values etc. to study if you are taking the train. Good luck!!

Yes in the question it will tell u if it should be a whole # or how many decimals the # should have. In michigan we could bring study material but had to put it in a locker b/c u cant go into the room with anything. By the way some say not to study the day b 4 or the day of just a little f.y.i but any who good luck and best wishes

Don't take study materials. The best thing you can do on the train is read a relaxing book or listen to some soothing music. Try to breathe deeply and RELAX. As a professor of mine said, "I never study in the hours before a test because it just disturbs what's already settled in there!"
That and going out for dinner and a movie the night before were the best things I did to prepare myself for the NCLEX the night before. Oh, and I wrote my name, with RN after it and the date. I know it might sound cheesy but visualizing yourself as a nurse can work !

Thanks guys :loveya: I've been doing pretty well on my practice tests, but it seems like I get most of the alternate format questions wrong, and that makes me very nervous. On those diagrams I'm always like a millimeter off!! And I usually select one too many or one too few on the SATA... but I did well on the HESI (1052) so I heard that's a good sign.
I missed 3 days of my 2 week long NCLEX review class b/c I had a miscarriage at 9 weeks pregnant (that was only 10 days ago)
I'm still really sad about my baby but all the studying has actually been helpful to help me refocus my energy a bit. I start work on July 7th on a telemetry floor and DH and I will start TTC again soon after.
I'm rambling, sorry. I'm just really nervous I think!
