NCLEX-RN Review Made Incredibly Easy!

Published

Hi everyone!

I just wanted to ask whether this book is any good to prepare for the NCLEX-RN?

I am talking about 3rd edition, publisher Lippincott Williams & Wilkins.

Thanks

i also have the nclex 3000 and the 250 lippincott. thanks

well, in the states do u normally passed the state board exam first before graduation? wow :) in my country (philippines) nurses need to graduate first before taking the local exam, only then we can take either cgfns or nclex or both. :) :)

oh no, I can't take the NCLEX til I graduate; I am just getting a jump on things. Plus with no school over the summer, practicing helps keep it in my mind. I think all these books will help with exams during the final semesters too.

i thought u already took the state board. Well, i pray that we both pass the exam once will take. take care.

You will have much better results with using Saunders. They do a much better job of explaining the rationale behind each answer and this is as important as just being able to answer a question. It is also the best for foreign trained nurses............. :)

Suzanne,

I hear you really like saunders. I would like your opinion....I test on 7/11 and have read Kaplan cover to cover twice and have done the NCSBN website, I am almost finished with the Saunders content review book (cover to cover)....do you think there is anything else I can do to prepare? I really like Saunders also because it gives me a chance to review things that I haven't thought about lately....I hope I have done enough. I think I need more priority questions though. I would appreciate your opinions. thanks...jp

a freind of mine who just took her nclex last week in hongkong told me that most of the questions are in prioritization, also a question about patient self determination act (psda) was asked. Saunders helped a lot coz its rationalization is better compared to nclex. however, the format of questioning is almost the same with kaplan. do u have the 7 trainer of kaplan? its has nice practice questions. Well, if u have finished all of these then i suggest u familiarize your self with herbal medicine. there is a book in herbal medicine by springhouse which is good or you can just surf the net. also, you should know which subject is your water low so that u can focus on it. Since, nclex is more of a diagnostic test. the more correct your answer is the question is getting harder and usually the questions are based on the subject you have the most incorrect answers.

thanks for the tips.:p

pls inform me the topics or questions u have encountered on ur nclex. thanks

Sorry, but questions cannot be posted here that were taken from the NCLEX-RN exam, is it against US copyright law and the Terms of Service of this site.

For American-trained nurses: Saunders questions from the CD that comes with the Comprehensive Review.........100 per day, no more..........Book should be used for any topic that you are having problems with.

For foreign-trained nurses: Dependin g on where you trained and when.....Saunders is the best in terms of overall review, and their rationales are 100% correct. Start with te book as a review, then do the questions from the CD.
