Hi everyone!
I just wanted to ask whether this book is any good to prepare for the NCLEX-RN?
I am talking about 3rd edition, publisher Lippincott Williams & Wilkins.
Thanks

You will have much better results with using Saunders. They do a much better job of explaining the rationale behind each answer and this is as important as just being able to answer a question. It is also the best for foreign trained nurses............. :)

I agree that Saunders is probably the most complete content review book. I also used NCLEX-RN Q&A Made Incredibly Easy and found it was a good resource to switch to when you tire of Saunders. I actually owned four books/CDs and I would rotate among the resources. I did learn many things from the Q&A rationales that I hadn't learned in Saunders!
One thing I really liked about NCLEX-RN Q&A is the way it's formatted. The questions are on the left side of each page, and the answers/rationales are on the right side, so no flipping back and forth to a key in the back to see how you're doing. Again, when you're studying a lot and are getting fatigued, a little thing like that makes a difference.
Just to clarify, W_in_L, I used the NCLEX-RN Q&A Made Incredibly Easy, which does not include specific content review (That's in the NCLEX_RN Made Incredibly Easy); the Q&A book consists of 3,500 questions with their rationales.
I used Saunders, as well as http://www.hurstreview.com for content review.
Best of luck studying!
I also used QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS(made incredibly easy) but i am considering buying this review book to learn things, you know?
I also studied with Saunder's book, finished it and wanna try something else:)

I know alot of people love the made incredibly easy books. I have the RN-Nclex made incredibly easy but I find that they are way to easy questions. They are a good source of review for content. But I doubt it's any good for Nclex, maybe I'm wrong.
I have been using the Kaplan and Saunders which is the best. Saunders has your whole nursing program in it...lol! I also use Saunders cd because you get to choose the amount of questions you want to do. I get tired after 50 and start getting antsy. I just want to rush through the rest. But I'm trying to re-train myself to get used to 100.

Hi, I have a ton of books full of Q & A for NCLEX-RN. I used incredibly easy, Kaplan, Saunders, Mosby, and Lippincott. Out of all of them, I agree Saunders Q & A was most like NCLEX questions (I took NCLEX yesterday! ) Having said that, realize that NLCEX-RN is like nothing you have ever seen before. I was so well prepared for that thing (I did over 5000 questions and studied test-taking strategies ) but still felt it was sooooo hard! I think because nothing can really prepare you for all the priority questions (like who the nurse should assess first out of these 4 patients). But I did have a few questions on topics that were addressed in Saunders...almost exactly. I think it's a good idea to use several review/Q & A books to get a broad range of topics. Good luck!
