hi gwafuh,
i feel "nclex rn review made easy" is a good resource for studying for nclex but i feel it is much easier than many other reputed materials including "kaplan". i feel one need to practice with relatively tougher questions when preparing for nclex in order to gain sound knowledge in the application of the subject.
i would also recommend the use of online question banks and online tests. they may cost you a bit but it is worth the trouble. one advantage is that it can be used by more than one person and you can have access to these questions and tests for about 30 days.
in preparing for nclex nothing can take the place of practice with maximum number of questions possible.

Hi;
I used a combination of Nursing Made Simple (book and CD) along with Saunders (book and CD). I also signed up for the Virtual ATI review (online review course). I found NMS to be helpful, but I must admit Saunders does have more complex questions (level 2 and 3 in the NCLEX I would say). I think the more questions, from a variety of sources that you do, the better.
I just took the NCLEX on the 27th and it shut off at 75. I too live in CA so the wait is horrible.
Take care
