Hello everyone ineed your help regarding my complicated status.
1. I took my ca nclex exam twice, my first attempt was in 2008 ( by that time ca nclex exam does not require ssn so i made the application and was able to have the test) last 12/2010 was my last attempt and again i failed. I wasnt able to reapply due to lack of ssn.
now am a permanent resident in us, residing in sf ca and im planning to challenge the nclex rn exam again but i dont know where to start my process. With my case do i need to submit a new application or just reapplication?
2. I graduated from the philippines batch2005, if i will submit a new application do you think my curriculum will be accepted? I finished nursing in dlsu-hsc and we finished our theoretical and clinical studies at the same time.
3. Just in case, am eligible for re-application( what i mean is not doing the whole process again, just submitting my reapplication) should i submit my form using maiden name( since on my records that is what i used before) or should i use my married name.
i find it so hard calling the california board ( chances are greater if am cqlling nvc or uscis) i hope for your kind responses, thank you

Files are only kept for 3 years. Since you applied in 2008, your file was destroyed in 2011 (or possibly 2013 if they reopened it with the 2010 attempt). You are most likely going to have to apply as a new applicant for a nursing license by examination with CABRN.
But last 2014 i tried to open my pearsonvue account and it was still active. Thanks for your reply
Pearson Vue has nothing to do with the board of registered nurses destroying your application. Pearson Vue will happily take your money now to register for the test, it's non refundable if CABRN denies your new application. CABRN destroys files after three years from the date of application. Your file would be long gone by at least a couple of years at this point. With the number of applications on file on a daily basis they cannot hold onto old applications just hoping you might come back with an SSN.
Ok thank you for the info, am having a hard time thinking what can i do for the moment i get bored at home, can you suggest some jobs for me? Am thinking of taking cna but based on my researches i need certification for that
Correct CNA requires certification whether take the class or challenge the exam. Unit secretary/unit coordinator does not require a license.
