NCLEX RN- 2nd time registeration

Published

I didn't pass NCLEX the first time about a year ago, and now I want to go for the last time (I hope!)

So the confusing part is here. I already paid for Pearson vue ($200 for test taking) thinking that's all I need to do since it's not the first time. Do I need to re-register for the board of registered nursing? I found that the board of registered nursing has a form of request for repeat examination which has a fee of $150. I thought since once I have done this right after nursing school, I didn't have to reapply for the board of nursing. So does this mean that when I don't pass the exam, I have to reapply and pay for the board of nursing again?

Thank you for all your help

Yeah you have to reapply. Goodluck!!!

I graduated in March whent home abroad for a month came back paid pearson after a month of waitin i called and asked why i didnt get a reply omg they told my to call the state nursing board i did and they told me i didnt fill out an application for the licences form.... i am so disapointed with my self cause i need to do this exam asap

Every time you want to test, you have to apply and pay the fees again. If you want clarification on this give the Board a call. Good luck.

yes you have to reapply for the board of nursing. submit na reapplication form together with your $150 check and wait for your eligibility..
