Hey all,
For those of you who have taken the NCLEX and used the NCLEX mastery app as a study tool...would you say the questions are comparable to what is on the actual exam? In comparison to Kaplan's question trainers, which I have heard are very similar to the NCLEX, The questions on the app seem much longer and contain more information... that can be used to determine the correct answer.
What are/were your average scores?
Have you taken the NCLEX?
Did you pass?
Thank you in advance for taking the time to answer my question. I know we are all so busy either working or preparing for the exam. I'm on this site often and have found it so helpful because of individuals willing to spend a little extra time offering helpful advice....so, thanks again!

I used both NCLEX mastery and Kaplan to study for my NCLEX pn.
In my opinion, Kaplan was more similar to actual NCLEX questions and their format was identical.
I wanted more exposure to different ways of asking questions which is why I used NCLEX mastery.
One more thing: if you're really concerned about passing the NCLEX, I recommend doing 3500 practice questions. I'd heard that if you do that many, odds were highly in your favor that you would pass the first try.
I only had 2 weeks to study, but I did about 2500 questions. Doesn't matter if your getting them all correct, it matters that you read and understand the rationale of the ones you get wrong.
Good luck!!
I did pass the 1st time with the minimum number of questions.
I believed the NCLEX mastery app was so helpful I purchased the NCLEX mastery RN app at the start of my rn program as a way to help me study for exams. I earned some of the highest grades on exams in my cohort.

I didn't think the nclex was IDENTICAL to Kaplan or NCLEX Mastery. I did the kaplan book and the mastery app. I averaged 70% on both. I thought the mastery app was much harder and more in depth than my nclex rn.
I passed with 75 questions in less than an hour.
Good luck#

I used nclex mastery to study for my nclex. I completed the whole app, it was very helpful. The questions are very similar to nclex and in my opinion more challenging. I also would recommend doing the free trial of lippincotts pass point online. It's two free weeks of awesome practice exams and tells you if you have a high chance of passing the nclex, questions on pass point are similar to the exam also. I passed with 88 questions! Good luck!

RN mastery app questions are difficult in their own way. The app covers a lot of content. It is probably good to study that exclusively if you want to. I would say they are comparable in difficulty to the NCLEX-RN exam.
