Before I took my NCLEX-RN I read so many posts on allnurses that helped me feel reassured, so I promised myself that after I took my NCLEX and got my results, I would post about my experience.
To prepare, I dedicated 2 weeks to studying. I made notecards of the information on the "NCLEX and HESI study guide" from allnurses, used uworld for practice questions (100 or more per day) and took notes on the questions/rationales that I was unsure of. My school also used a program called passpoint which is part of prepu, so I also used that for practice tests.
I took NCLEX at 8:00 AM on June 13th, 2017. Like most people, I was extremely nervous. I couldn't sleep much the night before, and during the test I was sweating and my heart was racing. I had to stop multiple times during the test to just take a few deep breaths, say a prayer, and try not to cry. I had about 190 questions, 30 SATA, and 1 dosage. At first I thought I had to wait for the 48 hour Pearson quick results, but the evening before the 48 hour mark I checked the FL board of nursing website and my RN license number was there! I did NOT do the Pearson trick because I was too afraid of it being inaccurate. My biggest piece of advice would be to not think too hard about what kind of question you're getting or what number question you are on. This freaked me out! Just keep moving forward and answering the questions, one at a time.
I write this in hopes that someone who needs to read this will see it and take comfort like I did from reading these posts!

hello morganjperry, Congratulations on passing.. I am taking my nclex next Saturday.. I am a nervous wreck.
I did uworld for over 2 months. I have been reading the rationales and the questions over and over. I did the
qbank for about 3 times now.. I have studied labs and peds millestones. Should I push my date further?? please help
Hey island8, it sounds like you've been preparing for a long time! Have you noticed your scores improving as you've gone through uworld? I personally would not move the date further, at a certain point you just have to go for it, and for me moving it further would give me even more time to be nervous about it. If you're looking for something more to review, I would recommend looking through the "NCLEX and HESI study guide" here on allnurses. I wish you the best!
hi morganjperry
yes my score has gone from 60 to 71%.. I have been studying through the study guide as well along with the
uworld questions.. I want this to be over already. I am doing my final review of the study guide tomorrow
through Thursday and I am done with all this..
Those scores are great, better than mine were!! I am sure you will do well, I know the feeling of wanting it to be over with. Keep me posted!
