NCLEX-RN advice needed!

Published

Hi guys! I'm new here and i was wondering if any of you can give me some advice. I'm going to take my NCLEX-RN exam next month! Just to get a gist of where i'm coming from..I took my RN program in the Philippines (4 years) and graduated on March 2012. I been through one heck of a struggle to get my att and now i'm scheduled to take my exam next month. I took Rachel Allen, Kaplan-Classroom Course, all of the 1,000+ Kaplan Q-Bank, around 2,000 questions on NCLEX 4000 (still working on it)...now i bought the LaCharity book on prioritization and i'm going to start that next week. I also have saunders, lippincott, and the kaplan book. Ok, so initially my scores right after i graduated were a consistent 40% (Kaplan). I know that is really low but i completely forgot everything in nursing school. I had poor content knowledge..Then after extensive studying i managed to boost it up to a consistent 60%. I have a month left and i'm freaking out because usually when i talk to my friends who took the NCLEX and passed (graduates in the states), they told me that my scores should be around 75% or higher, which really stressed me out because i been doing everything i can. From what i read on this blog, the NCLEX has a lot of sata, pharma, and prioritization. I have a general knowledge of all the nursing topics but the sata questions are so frustrating! I would miss just one to complete the answer. I need advice on how i can work on my sata questions. I also read that doing all the sata questions from saunders is good, but is that the only thing i can do? Or should i just do a lot of reading for content knowledge? Also does anyone know how long does it take to get through the LaCharity book (a week, 2 weeks)? Thanks so much!
