Gotta love the holidays! I received a few amamzon.com gift certificates and was thinking of buying an NCLEX review book, but am a little baffled. There are so many to choose from. Anyone have any recommendations? Cautionary tales? Thanks so much!

Saunder's Comprehensive Review for the NCLEX-RN or PN is the only book that I recommend and the only one that I use with my students.

I haven't taken my NCLEX yet, but I have also been using the Saunders NCLEX review book. It is different from the rest of the books because not only does it give you a ton of practice questions, but it also gives you an explanation as to why an answer is right, as well as why the other answers are wrong. It is very helpful (it also helped me pass Med/Surge - no doubt!). Good luck! :)

I'm going to have to give 2 thumbs up for Saunders as well - I use it to get through my nursing classes now - gonna love it when I go to review for my NCLEX. I also use NCLEX review made easy as well. Both give you tons of practice questions and they are broken down in categories as well as comprehensive. Both also tell you where your weak points are. It's great
Good luck and have fun shopping!!!!

Yep, I definitely recommend Saunders. I also suggest Hurst review. :)

I am actually liking HESI's NCLEX review. It sort of condenses the main points of 2 years of education into 1 book.

how about Kaplan nclex review is that advisable? i have kaplan, saunders and springhouse nclex 3000 downloaded in my laptop. which one should i prioritize to review?
My opinion? Saunder's only.
But you need the book as well. Do not rely strictly on the CD.

I have both the HESI and Kaplan books/cd's and also took the courses and thought they were both very helpful. I feel very prepared : ) but it will be boards that are the great determinator.
