nclex results

Can anyone help please? I'm a foreign graduate but now living in California. Its my 10th day since I took NCLEX exam and the waiting is just disorientating me. I received a leaflet yesterday from Lifesavers Nursing review, saying "PASS WITH US NOW". My questions are, 1) Have I failed?

2) How did they get to know my name and that I took nclex?

3) Can the CA Board Of Nursing inform agents (companies) about my results before I know?

4) is that the way or telling me that I have failed?

I'm very anxious t know. Thanks in advance.

Are you able to check online? In PA, you can go online and see whether a license has been issued or not within a few days after taking your exam. If you can't do that, try calling them and see if they'll tell you whether you passed or not.

When you left from taking your test did the testing center give you any information on how to receive your results. In my state we take our Nclex at Pearson Vue, and we are given a web site where we can log on after 48 hours to get a pass/fail result.

If you did not get that, I would call the testing center and ask how you can view your results.

As far as the pamplet you got in the mail I am betting that is just junk mail, you probably got put on some mailing list when you signed up to take your boards. But I agree that would stress me out getting that. Best of luck, the anticipation is the WORST....

I am a foreign grad too, and its been 7 days since i took my exam...I know how you feel.... because.... i also feel the same way....everyday i had been checking their website, and my name was not there.... but im still hoping.... I will pray for all of us waiting for our results.

They probably got your name from your nursing school or pearson vue (the nclex company).

Also, did you not know that you can find out your unofficial results by phone or on the internet after 2 days??

No, no. It's common to get those mass mailers, most likely from the school you went to. They have no idea if you have passed or not. It's pure coincidence that you received the flyer when you did.

I get offers for becoming a LPN, get your LPN to RN, etc. when I have been a R.N. for YEARS!!

No worries, have a glass of wine and watch a funny movie.

CA cannot give your results to anyone, period. They have not given your results to any of these companies, but they do sell lists of those that have registered for licensure with them. I even get this type of mailer when I get a license in a new state.

I think that it is inappropriate that these companies are permitted to function like this and contact people before they even get their results. Not a nice thing to do, and you can report them to the Better Business Bureau and see if others have complained about their tactics. You can also contact the BRN about this. These same companies do it to all, even if you grew up in the US, they still send them.

As a foreign grad, if you did not give them a SSN# when you registered for the exam, then you wait about 2 1/2 weeks for them to send your results to you via snail mail and then wait for the delivery time as well. Remember that the BRN cannot submit any results to any other BON, or even CGFNS, etc., without your written documentation to do so. That means that they cannot give your results to anyone else like this either.
