I am starting my second to last semester for RN tomorrow. I took my NCLEX for PN today, and all I can say is "that was awful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" I am so tired of being tested, examined, analyzed!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now I have to wait and see if I passed the evil test! I tell you what, at least I know now what to focus on for my RN and that I better put on my game face RIGHT NOW!!!! God help me...

I took it last week and passed!!! I felt prepared but still nervous. I had a TON of select all that apply questions, which are the harder questions. Did you get your quick results? How did you do?

I just started LPN school. Can anyone tell me how do you study for these kind of questions?
I just had my first exam last week, I passed but the questions were not 'right". They did not even give enough info to make a choice, I felt like I had to assume certain information and in a few cases just guess what they wanted me to answer.
We were required to take NCLEX review course and that helped incredibly, it included 1400 online questions.
There are usually 2-3 right answers and you have to choose the best. Read the questions very carefully and decide what it is really asking.
I will say that my LPN program made up their own critical thinking questions and they weren't like the questions on the NCLEX.
UPDATE: I passed and have my LPN!!!!
The NCLEX is unlike any test you will have in school...

That's nursing school! The instructers always tell our class....Dont read to much into the question, but always ask "Y" ...for instance, Y would they need TPN? Then your prolly gonna get ur answer. IDK. Sometimes, I think that's not the right answer, in the REAL world ..no nurse would ever do that...but if I know its the answer they are looking for I pick it. Just get through the learning and everything will fall into place, or at least that's what I tell myself. Good luck.
