NCLEX-PN just taken

Published

OKay, I just took my NCLEX-PN, it shut off at 85 questions and I am feeling .... heck I don't know what I'm feeling. I don't feel like I did that great, yet I know I didn't miss every question.

The next 2 days will be torture. Any input on your experiences?

Thanks,

Ruper  that's how I'm feeling.

GOOD LUCK! Please let us know when you find out!

Actually, every person that writes that exam gets 50% correct and 50% incorrect. They are interested in the level of questions that you are getting the majority of the correct ones in and this is essentially how they base whether you pass or do not pass.

Number of questions that you had on your exam does not tell anything, nor if you got the last one right or wrong.

Best of luck to you.

Hi Ruper.... I wish you nothing but good luck!!! to everyone else out there, i am right there w/ you w/ all this NCLEX stress!! i just graduated in dec '07 & just received my ATT. i just started preparing for the NCLEX & i'm planning on taking it in april. any helpful tips from the ones who passed? i've been reading saunders, NCLEX PN made easy & doing some practice questions from the saunders q&a book. i'm considering getting kaplan since i feel like u can never have enuff books to study for the NCLEX! also thinking about doing suzanne's plan.... but i'm trying to figure out what the best technique is since i've just been reading a little & doing practice questions. i feel like if i try to read EVERYTHING we covered in school i'll never finish studying! =P your input is appreciated! THANK YOU!!!

i just took the PN tis morning. it stopped at 85th question.i am worried because it got like 15 priority question and about 12 select all that apply. i would say that it was hard. but i really hope i pass cause i really dont want to take this exam again.

Question: if i took it friday when can i check for my quick results?

I took the nclex pn on monday and ive been worried sick since then. My test stopped at 85 questions. And I am just driving myself crazy waiting for the results. I'm soOo worried that i failed because the easy questions that i do remember getting, i ended up getting wrong. So I'm thinking if i got the easy questions wrong, the computer musta shut off because it thought I was way below the passing scale. I feel so disheartened. I give birth next month and a lot of things are riding on if I'll be able to work as an LVN. I live in california so it will take 3 -4 weeks for me to get my results. Is there any way i can get them faster?? I'm thinking I might get my results the end of february. But what if i fail? I have to wait 45 days to retake and then wait another 3-4 weeks to see if i passed or failed again. I'm going crazZzzzyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy with all the wait! HELP!

mrstip, I did pass my NCLEX, I'm in Missouri. I took the test 1/28, found out that I passed on 1/30 and was offered a job on 2/1. It was a busy week. Five of my classmates have all taken their tests last week and this week. The computer shut off at 85 for 3 of them, 86 for one and 98 for another. They all passed.

I know all the 50% this and 50% that and what you know and what you don't know is out there. Two of my LPN instructors and the administrator of my LPN program said they had never known of anyone failing that the computer shut off at 85 questions. They felt like you would have had to had received poor grades in school (that would have been an indicator of their knowledge) and failed most of the quesitons.

With that said, I do kow how you are feeling, all of my classmates have felt or are feeling the same way. Hang in there and keep me posted !

Blessing and good thoughts to you,

Ruper

Thanks to everyone who's posted, I appreciate all the advice. I take my exam February 26th and I'm using Saunder's 3rd edition for review purposes. Good Luck everybody!

thanks so much. and i would like to tell you that i passed. i just checked my quick results. i'm so happy because i would not want to sit that exam again. i used the lipincott 7th edition to study and i did all the 2000 plus questions in it. i also have the saunders 3rd edition but i didnot use it.

i was a little worries because about 2 days before my exam i was on this site and everyone was saying that they used saunders and that they never heard of linpincott. i was pisseed with myself because i had this book and i didnt even bother tto look at it. but never the less i trusted in my self and God and i passed.

how long before they sent your license in the mail? for NEW YORK FOLKS

congratulations nickiejay ! ! ! ! ! ! !

i was told today that for the nclex pn, the first 25 questions are the ones that don't count against your score, and those first 25 are the ones that are supposed to place you on whether you passed or not... can you explain about the 25 "try out" questions please?
