NCLEX PN in CA - stopped at 85, tons of SATA

Published

Hi All,

I just finished taking my exam about an hour ago, I literally guessed about 95% of my answers. My first SATA question was the second exam question and a whole bunch of them all throughout the exam, I got maybe 2 pharm questions, no calculation, about 5 exhibit questions, drag/drop, priority questions, but my entire exam were almost SATAs. I do not know what to feel right now. I have accepted the fact that I might've failed because of all of those SATAs. Anyone else had the same experience where SATAs were scattered throughout the exam?

Moved to the NCLEX forum.

Remember how the NCLEX questions are set up. You start average, get that question right and it goes to above average difficulty...get that one wrong it goes back down. If you were getting tons of SATA, then I would be willing to bet that you did great and have passed!! Because can you think of a single question harder than SATA? I can't. I hated those!!!

As far as guessing 95% of the time, I would imagine anyone you talk to will say they did the same, lol. I know I did. I'd go say far as to say I was 100% sure of my answer maybe 2% of the time.

There was a trick you could do, naturally not completely verified as to whether or not it was accurate..But the theory was you can go to the website where you sign up to take the exam and try to scedule another. If it didn't let you it, then you passed. If it let you start to schedule another then you failed. (Make sure you don't put a card number down that it could pull money from just incase it lets you schedule..) Again, this was just a theory. But I know in my class that the only two that could schedule another exam were the two that failed, the rest if us got an error. This was 2 years ago though.

Regardless, just breathe!!! I'm sure you did fantastic!! I don't know a lot of people that walk out of there like "I nailed that test!!!" Everyone I talked to was sure they failed.

Forgot to mention...Yes, I felt like every other question on my exam was SATA, and let me tell you...I was a nervous wreck.

Hi...thank you so much for the words of encouragement. I did pass the exam btw

Finally I get to relax!
