I took the NCLEX on a Friday at 2pm. My computer shut off after 76 questions and my mouth literally dropped open. It had been 8 months since I graduated & I hadn't opened a book until the week before my boards were scheduled. I was DESPERATE to find out my fate and felt so much regret that I hadn't properly prepared for this ridiculous test. Of course after the test I resorted to Google and started reading people's experiences with the NCLEX. That's when I discovered the PVT. I tried it at least a dozen times over the weekend, & finally on Monday my quick results were available..... I passed the NCLEX! I just want to hear other people's NCLEX experiences and what you all think of the PVT.

PVT, Magic 8 Ball, coin flip are all at the same level of accuracy in predicting passing NCLEX.
PVT involves interpreting the Pearson Vue payment system as an indicator of Pass/Fail. Their payment system was not intended to be used in that way. You are suppose to only re-register for the test AFTER you have been notified that you failed. The system is not designed to be used immediately after completing the test. That is why you have people attempt the PVT and end up paying for another test when they passed. There are numerous reasons why you would get a "Good pop-up" and fail or a "Bad pop-up" and pass. The grading and processing of your test and the payment system are separate systems. Unless an IT person from Pearson comes here to explain the process, we are just speculating on how it works.

PVT was correct for both me and my friend from school who took NCLEX the same day. Took the test Thursday, got the good pop up Thursday night and Friday during the day. Checked the continental testing site Friday after 5:00 PM and my results said “pass”

I took the NCLEX-RN 02/09/2019 and my exam shut-off at 75, I received the email that everyone gets, went home and did the PVT about 100 times (exaggerating...no...really), got the good pop up. Yesterday morning 02/11/2019, I received an email from the BON notifying me that I have been assigned a license number.

Exam day was on a Friday 2/1/19 NCLEX-PN test shut off at 85.. walked out like damn idk if I did well or not. Hours later I remembered the PVT and tried it, although I have read everyone’s instructions to DO NOT input the correct expiration date from the credit card I actually put in the correct information with the risk but Thank God I got the “good pop up” still in disbelief I stalked my mailman for days. My status on the Breeze account changed and gave me the option to pay for my initial license. But I still had to wait for my congratulatory letter. The letter actually came in the mail 2/11/19. Do not panic! PVT WORKS!

I passed my nclex recently and for 3 days straight afterwards I tried the pearson vue trick at different hours of the day. I kept getting a good pop up. I wasn't convinced. But I knew when I took my exam I felt calm and confident. That also helped me to know the pop up may have worked. 3 days later, my unofficial results were PASS. Hoping it works for others. They say theres never been a false good pop up. Im thinking it may be true. But that might be really true after 24 hours following exam.

It was great! No really I was stressing thinking I was taking nursing exams all combined again. The most important thing is to relax and answer each question carefully. I took my time because I knew rushing was no use because its a scale of how well you do on the questions. I took kaplan mostly, finished all qbank, alternate exams, few quiz trainers, and did a little lippincott q&a. But I believe kaplans all you need. If you prepare well enough and think it through it will be a guarantee. How did you do?
