2008 NCLEX passer in CA without SSN, lost nclex pass letter, now i have SSN

The title says it all. I've passed the nclex january 2008 and california was the state where I applied but wasn't able to get a SSN. I'm a foreign graduate, been practicing as a nurse since 2008 until present outside the US. Due to retrogression, i was very negligent with my nclex pass letter and for some reason i lost it. Recently I received my SSN. Tried to call CA BON but to no avail after 2 hrs of being on hold. I know they're going to destroy my file. I've read posts here that they still got their license as long as they can get a SSN, but not as long as mine. It's been 8 years since i passed the test. Im so confused because i read mixed comments about nclex results being expired after x amount of years. What are the steps that i need to take? Do I have to get a copy of my pass letter and how do I do this? I tried NCSBN but california does not participate. I tried pearson vue but totally forgot about my account details (email and username) to view my test result. What are the steps that needs to be done? Please help, I just dont want to write the test again. Any advice and help is much appreciated.

Have you worked as a licensed nurse in the past 8 years? If not California will require you to retake the nclex

Yes I have worked as a license nurse outside the US 2008-present. Any thoughts on how I can get a copy of the nclex pass letter in CA?

If if activating a CA license apply and indicate you already took and passed the nclex in 2008 and are now providing your SSN

Please let me know that all the process you got through I have the same problem as you I passed the NCLEX in 2008 and lost a pass letter. I want to follow my dream to CA.

We have the same delemma. I'm a NCLEX passer from the Philippines. I took it on May 2008. I also lost my letter.

I want to start my US application through Passport USA Health Carousel Agency. But I'm hesitant to sign the contract because I'm afraid to retake NCLEX if they cannot retrieve my files.

What did you do? Did you able to retrieve your nclex result? How? Pls guide me.

It is my understanding that the CA BRN destroys files after three years so I would not be surprised to eventually find out that pass letters from 2008 are not available from the BRN.
