NCLEX--how soon after graduation?

Published

How soon after you graduate from nursing school do you typically take the NCLEX-RN exam? Thanks

i dont know what the typical time is. but I was told not to wait longer than three months. i took mine two months after and passed.

Good luck! :nurse:

I waited until September before I took mine because there was a lot going on in my life (i.e. weddings, family things, etc.) and I just didn't have the time. Passed the first time, but I read a LOT of practice questions before taking it! :)

Take it ASAP after graduation. Statistics show that graduates have a better chance of passing the NCLEX the sooner after graduation they take it. You probably know a lot more than you may think, and you've heard the saying, "If you don't use it, you lose it." I guess that applies to taking the NCLEX. Good luck!

Take it as soon as you possibly can, I took mine a month after graduation, I figure I worked hard to get through school and I couldn't wait anymore to have RN after my name.
