This was one of the most demanding test I fe had in my life when I thought I passed I failed and when I failed I thought I passed. I am an older student that graduate in 2013 and I was going through a custody fight and divorce the whole way through. All I kept saying to myself is that I can't let her win I gotta keep going. I lost my job had to move in with my mom and was financially ruined. And my ex was trying to eradicate me from my children s life and she was always jealous that I was in an RN program and she was a LPN. The first time I took the test I studied but not that hard and I also waited too long , please people take the test immediately it only gets worse.
I used these here forums as a way to get strength so that I could keep on going . I took the the 3 times and for the 3rd time I used Saunders, YouTube videos, Kaplan book, one week ATI COUSE WHEN I GRADUATED DIDNT HELP MUCH.but saunders was great and so was the questions on
ine that I used sooooo much, even when I did bad on a quiz I just kept on testing but I used the book to get more base knowledge so that I could answer the select all that apply better.
on my test I got soooooo many priority questions it was ridiculous and only about 15 selects and it stopped at about 125 for me the 3rd time but the first time it stopped at 83 and the 2nd time it was 225 but I ran out of time ( I took too many breaks ) I think I should've passed then.
People if if I can do it so can you devote 2 to 4 weeks of non stop studying and used everything over and over and make it part of you . This test can really fool you if your not on your game as you can see I am not the best test taker , I ve never been but I've always worked hard and that is something we all can do..
The NCLEX is tough. I am an LPN going for my RN too. The LPN boards went smooth for me. I waited 4 weeks after graduation and wished I took it sooner. My best study resource was ATI. I go to Rasmussen and we do ATI assignments every week, plus practice and proctored exams throughout the program. After graduation from the LPN program the school required us to come back for 3 day for a class with an ATI instructor. That helped a lot. She gave us lots of pointers on how to take the NCLEX, hints on all the apply questions, and how to look for "distractors" - answers that look pretty but are there only to distract you from the correct answer.I agree the NCLEX is scary but it's do-able. This time around for my RN I plan on taking it right away because I am already studying for NCLEX. Every time I study for an exam or do an assignment or read a chapter I remind myself that this is for the NCLEX too!
Do you recommend ati I failed2x
Everyone is different I tried the Ati and even did te virtual course, me personally I didn't like it .. I needed something to shape to me on what I needed and Saunders test question that are linked in a nee book did that for me... Each time u take it u need to add more and try to do something different .
Congrats, I'm going for my third try for lpn, i've been out of school for a year now, I'm very nervous to try again. This was one of the most demanding test I fe had in my life when I thought I passed I failed and when I failed I thought I passed. You can do it don't give up add something new and study like it's a job I also tested my knowledge with the Saunders online quizzes which was great I would sit on the couch doing questions only iPad .. Thst really helped as I had problems with select all that apply and I was doing 150 of those a day
