I'm feeling devastated, embarrassed, and honestly just exhausted. It's discouraging knowing how much time, effort, and money I've put into this, and still not seeing the outcome I've worked so hard for.

It's been a year since I graduated, and while I'm genuinely happy and proud of my classmates who have passed and are doing well, it's tough feeling like I'm still stuck in the same place. After my fourth attempt, I tried to jump back into studying, but I felt mentally drained and overwhelmed. My mind just wasn't in it anymore.

One of the hardest parts has been having to tell my family that I didn't pass, over and over again. There have even been times where I've avoided the truth because I felt so embarrassed. That part really weighs on me, especially because my family has supported me so much throughout nursing school.

I think one of my biggest challenges is test anxiety—I get really nervous during the exam and tend to blank out.

If anyone has any advice on study strategies, schedules, resources, or even just some encouragement, I would truly appreciate it. I'm still holding onto my goal and not giving up, even though a part of me really does want to give up.

For reference, I've used ATI (books and program), UWorld, Saunders, YouTube (NCLEX Crusade), and Mark K lectures/audio.

Thank you so much for reading 🤍

Fail NCLEX multiple times

Hello everyone. I finished my lpn program in 2007. I took the NCLEX 1 time and didn't pass. I gave up on it and started back working. Now I'm thinking about trying again but since it's been so long ago I don't know where I should start. I would really appreciate some feedback about where I should start.

Hello! I graduated this last Saturday, and my state's Board of Nursing just approved my degree on my application today. I'm waiting now for my Authorization to Test.

I know that you're supposed to receive your ATT within two weeks of registering with Pearson Vue for the NCLEX as long as your Board has deemed you eligible, but I paid the registration fee and registered back in January before I had my degree and therefore I wasn't eligible at the time.

Since I registered so early before I had my degree, will this mess up me receiving my ATT? Or should I still expect my ATT within two weeks? I’m really antsy to take it since I’ve been studying for months now ? Thanks!

After all this time of trying to get my degree, it has finally happened. I am officially an RN!! It was hard getting there, but nothing like when you've actually gotten the results that you know it is OVER! For those who are repeat test takers, just know you've got this. If you are weak in certain areas, focus on those and do actual practice questions in those areas that you are weak in. Good luck! everyone happy studying.

I finished my NCLEX by 97 questions at around 10 o'clock this morning in MA and did the PVT at 3pm. I put in the correct credit card number and correct CVC, only input the wrong exp date.

I did not get the good popup, nor I got the warning that credit card was declined. I got the Pearson VUE Confirmation of Payment via email. Is this a bad pop up? I did my two UWorld predictor test and scored 57, 59.

Anxious and inclined to say I failed.

I applied with the Florida Board of Nursing for the RN Exam Application on July 30th. I just realized that I incorrectly answered a question.

For the question, "I have not yet graduated from the program I am attending. I am applying for the NCLEX-PN based on PNEQ"- I misunderstood the question and put YES, because at the time I had not yet graduated. My application is for the NCLEX RN, but from the way I answered that question it seems as if I was applying for the PN. I realize now that I should have put NO instead.

All of the help lines for NCLEX questions are closed for the weekends and I am freaking out! I plan on calling first thing in the morning. I am worried that I will have to resubmit a new application and start over.

Does anyone know if this problem can be fixed?

	Thank you!

	Hello everyone,

I hope this message finds you well. I'm reaching out to see if anyone here has faced — or successfully resolved — a similar issue with the California Board of Registered Nursing (BRN) and AHPRA regarding NCLEX-RN verification for endorsement.

	Summary of My Situation:

I took and passed the NCLEX-RN on December 22, through eligibility granted by the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).

I never obtained licensure or registration with AHPRA — I only used them to gain eligibility to sit for the exam.

I later became a Registered Nurse in Ontario, Canada, licensed through the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO).

In May 2025, I submitted an application for California RN licensure by endorsement.

	Issue:

The California BRN requires two things from AHPRA:

Direct NCLEX-RN verification (not just a score transfer).

The Candidate Performance Report (CPR) — sent directly from AHPRA.

Despite multiple attempts, AHPRA continues to send only a score transfer form, which the BRN has told me is not valid for endorsement. This has caused a frustrating delay in my application.

	What I've Done So Far:

Reached out to AHPRA several times (between 2024–2025) with clear requests.

	Sent the BRN's exact wording:
"NCLEX score transfer is for examination, not for endorsement. Please contact AHPRA and request for your NCLEX Verification including Candidate Performance Results to be sent directly to the Board from AHPRA.”

But AHPRA continues to send the same invalid document.

	Questions:

Has anyone successfully navigated this process with AHPRA and California BRN?

Is there specific wording or form that worked for you when requesting from AHPRA?

Can the BRN contact AHPRA directly to clarify?

Any alternative solutions I should consider?

I currently hold an active RN license in Ontario and am simply trying to complete the endorsement process in California. Any advice, guidance, or shared experience would be deeply appreciated. This has been an exhausting bureaucratic loop, and I'm hoping someone here might have found a way through it.

Thank you so much in advance!

I've heard many different methods how to pass or how to study and what steps were taken. I can't say my method would work for anyone else. I just want to share how I did it.

I'm a mother so my goal is to provide for my family. I've always wanted to grow up as a nurse. Although being a mother is greater. So to be a great mother is to lead by example on how to strive for the best.

Here are my steps on how I prepared for the exam:

I graduated LVN/LPN nursing school in 2009. I took my first NCLEX exam in 2017. Days later I was notified I passed the exam! Many people asked why a long gap. Honestly, I was scared to fail and I got comfortable being in administration. At the time I was 19 years old when I graduated.

As the years passed my fellow peers either passed or failed. I was still scared to be known as a failure, although I was already a failure for not taking the exam. So a failure by default. Until New Year's Day of 2016 I gave myself a lecture that since I was in middle school I wanted to help others as a nurse. So just try.

I went to the nursing program I graduated from to get answers on how to take the exam. I got an answer from them in August 2016 to submit an application. In September, the director of the nursing program approved my process to start my application process and finger print scanning paperwork.

January of 2017 my application was approved by the nursing board to take the NCLEX. The same month I registered and paid to take the NCLEX. I made my appointment to take the NCLEX 12 weeks from that date. I told myself will need only 12 weeks to prepare no matter what, no more excuses. Keep in mind it's been years since nursing school and never taken the NCLEX before. I bought the PDA by LaCharity, and Exam Cram plus Saunders.

February 2017 got simplenursing.com NCLEX failure remediation course with a mentor. In the course, my mentor gave me suggestions on what to study on and follow the recommendations on how to study with others in the group keeping each other on check. Downloaded NCLEX mastery app on my phone to study on my downtime at work or waiting in a lobby or something instead using social media.

March 2016 took a NCLEX simulation exam to see my progress and focus the area of improvement. April 2016 signed up for the Hurst review 2 weeks prior my NCLEX exam date. April 21 I took a day off from work, woke up late, went to the movies, went to my favorite restaurant for dinner, I was tempted to study but my friends kept me occupied to refrain myself from studying bc nothing was retaining the information.

April 22nd I took the NCLEX exam. I was 100 something questions in the exam til the computer shut off. I cried in my car thinking I probably failed.

May 1st I received my letter of passing the exam and paid the fee for my license. Received my license a week later. Also got license insurance coverage for a year. Hired as a Traveing nurse May 16th. August hired to work in Urgent care.

Never give up. I did all this while I had a full-time job during the day and a part time job at night/weekend. Bible study once a week. Planned and did my oldest daughter's birthday in January and my youngest daughter in March as a single mom. My family has their own agendas so I hired a babysitter to help.

Hi everyone, I felt I had to post this!! I took my NCLEX on Tuesday and left feeling super down, I literally felt confident about maybe 20 questions. I cried A LOT and was pretty sure I failed. I did the Pearson Vue trick no less than 1000 times and got the "bad pop up" every time. I read post after post about how the trick is supposedly 99.9% accurate which made me even more depressed. I was already looking into which cities I could travel to to attend an in-person NCLEX review!

Checked my state's BON website this morning and low and behold my name popped up under RN license verification! So the Pearson Vue trick was wrong! I followed all of the specific instructions and never once got the good pop up.

If the trick works for you and you get a good pop up CONGRATS! I don't think I've ever read about anyone getting a false positive so the good pop seems to be pretty accurate. If you get the bad pop up though don't worry, the trick is not guaranteed. Pearson Vue should honestly look into the little trick because it just adds to everyone's anxiety and is really just a weird site error that should not be used to check NCLEX results.

Good luck y'all and feel free to ask me anything!

I know that it often does not matter, but I have a new student who has gone through the Kaplan program and he failed his NCLEX. He is looking for recommendations for a new qbank to use. I usually suggest UWorld and have just started to suggest Archer (price is cheaper and their revamped program is a lot better than years past), but I want to hear everyone's recommendations on one or the other and if there is another one that is highly rated that I am unaware of.

Hi. I took my test today at 1. I was done by 2:10. I freaked out because I was expecting to be there for hours, and then I felt I went too fast. I tried the "trick" and it let me go all the way to registration. How did you know how many questions you had? There were no numbers and the test just shut off after many questions. Does this mean I failed?

I was brought to the U.S. at the very young age of 7, did great in school, high school, and got a full ride scholarship to college. Knowing that I was good in school, I was attracted to "hard" classes and programs. I took my pre-pharm classess and my prerequisistes for nursing school. I got into nursing school right away and managed to get into hospitals w/o any problems. The moment came where I had to take NCLEX and I couldn't bc of lack of proper documentation. I ended up doing construction under Arizona's hot summers for 2 years looking for ways to get a visa or even take NCLEX but all was a dead end. I prayed and fasted for 21 days asking Jesus Christ for that opportunity to take the exam; I was exponentially forgetting the material. I began searching again, fixated and not willing to give up when I found a state that was willing to give me the chance, the chance we all worked so hard for. I took NCLEX after 2 years and only 3 wks revewing. I took all 6 hours trying my hardest to answer ALL questions correct. I left the testign center feeling like everyone else, nauseous, worried, thinking of the two long years that have passed by and all the struggles I had to face just to take the exam. I did the PVT and got the good pop-up, I didn't tell anyone until I was 100% certain, paid the 8 dollars and there it was, a humble "PASS." To you, the undocumented student or graduate, there is hope. NEVER, NEVER, NEVER, give up, it's not a nurses quality.

PVT got a good pop up....I think.

So I took the NCLEX RN exam today at 1pm well I got there early so they let me start at about 12:30. Easy in a way because its stuff I learned in nursing school and information I went over using the Hurst Review HOWEVER it was tricky because when I came down to my final two answers that's when it got hard. After 2.5hrs my computer shut off at about 110 question I stopped looking at the number count after 100 but I know I didn't go past 120. I felt horrible, my hands were still shaking even after I walked out of the testing center.

Well I got to my car and drove to my bf mothers house since she lived down the street from the testing center and checked Pearson Vue and got this "our records indicate that you have recently scheduled this exam. Another registration cannot be made at this time".

Does this mean I passed?

LPN to RN preparing for NCLEX-RN

I have been an LPN for over 10 years with experience in LTC, GI, Peds and urology. I recently graduated from an LPN to RN bridge program, with an advertised NCLEX pass rate of 90%. I earned mostly A's and 1 B (pharm). Considering my knowledge base from being an LPN for so long, and after doing so well in school, I felt really confident about my NCLEX.

I scheduled my NCLEX for the soonest available slot. I attemped a few online free practice exams and I am not "passing" them. Many have questions about content, I don't recall being covered in my LPN or RN program.

Part if me thinks maybe I'm not ready for the NCLEX and part of me thinks these free online tests are designed to not pass so you will pay for thier test prep,, ALL the sites with free exams also offer paid content.

I was hoping to hear feedback from people who have been there.
