hi all, i just want to vent out my nervousness as my test date is this coming august 20th, i'm taking the nclex-pn for the 3rd time and i'm scared to fail again and i even thought of changing my date to september, but then told myself if i don't face it now, i may never conquer my fear..... recently i had a fight with my inlaws (the whole family ) and they told me that i should change my career for something else since i can't pass my nclex exam.... i was very hurt because even my husband is feeling the same way already, god knows that everyday i pray and believe that he will grant my wishes..... it's just so sad to think how even your close one to you may think negatively. i've been through a lot and people and relatives that i know took this exam have pass the test and my inlaws would always say their moving on in their life and i'm not....:sniff:
i followed suzanne's plan and did saunder's cd w/ rationales for 100q everyday although i did not totally finish some of it i did 2208 questions. i would appreciate any advice or comment, thanks for hearing me out...:bluecry1:

GOOD LUCK!!! your going to do fine, relax, take a deep breath and just read the questions and answer one at a time, once a question is done forget about it and move on.
Today do something you enjoy and do not study! Get a good nights sleep and you will do it...let us know how you do.

Relax, take a deep breath and give it your best shot. Many good nurses fail the exam a few times. Good luck
Thank you guys, that's what I really need :wink2:

Good luck on your exam! Don't ya just hate it when other people think they know what path we should go down? Reading these threads has opened my eyes to the struggles many of us share. Don't dwell on your in-laws or your husband either. I just took my pn exam yesterday and my 'honey' was so unsupportive during the times when I needed to study. I honestly can say that I did this all on my own. If I fail, I'll try again. Nobody will stand in my way! Take a few deep breaths (before you begin your exam) and shut out those negative thoughts and people! Good luck and please keep us posted.
thank you Chevyv.:wink2:

Relax today. I know it's hard, but it's the best thing you can do for you. Get a good night's sleep, good light breakfast and go get 'em!
When I took my PN, the first thing I did when they pulled up my test was put my head down, close my eyes, take a deep cleansing breath, said a small prayer and then started. One question at a time and move on to the the next. Stop for a second and take a deep breath if you need to.
You can do it!!!!!!!! I will be right behind you on Sunday, doing my NCLEX RN, so I know you are feeling nervous. Trust me, there are lots of others who have been in your shoes and they made it through too.
Best to you!!

good luck , I know you can do this. Keep your faith in yourself up. Faith travels along ways, and i have faith in you. everyday tell yourself that you can do this! That you Will do this! Third time might be a charm . Good luck to you. Nursing school and the field is hard to understand by peers and loved ones. Just keep faith in your self, you'll be a great nurse ! :redpinkhe:redpinkhe

Relax and take it easy before your test. You need to have confidence going into it, and it sounds like you in-laws are not giving you that. Non-nurses do not understand a lot of times (I get a lot of bad advice as I am in a similar situation). If this is what you want plow ahead - the important thing is if YOU feel ready to take it. You can pass this test, it's just a matter of overcoming it. It doesn't test how good of a nurse you will be, just how well you take tests. So go out there and kick some test :wink2: :heartbeat:redbeathe
