I took my NCLEX today at 0800, finished in 2 hours and went to about 115-120 questions. I need to know if I passed but my state doesn't participate in the 48 hour quick results. Does anyone know how I can find out early whether I passed or not? How long would it take NCSBN registration site to show that my results are available. As of now, I get the good pop-up, tried it about 5 times, but the status says "results are not available." How long will it be until it says my results?
Unfortunately you dug up a very old thread with outdated info, but hopefully I can bring you up to speed:
Since you are in a State that does not participate with Pearson Vue's Quick Results program, your status will ALWAYS read "Results Unavailable". The results not available are Quick Results.
Your official results will be mailed to you; if your State happens to be one of the ones that updates its website regularly, you may very well see it posted online before you receive the mailed notice. Some State BoNs update daily, some every few days, and some not for weeks. California is notoriously slow on this part.
The PVT has NO MERIT unless you wait at least 24 hours post-completion of your exam. Your test is scored TWICE, so any pop ups noted immediately after the test is done may or may not 'stick'. You may pass on the first scoring, fail on the second.....or vice versa. Most of the time, the results do match, and people who claim "it works right after you take your test!!" don't realize this. It doesn't.
Does this help?
