Took Nclex today.....the tears wont stop

Nursing Students NCLEX

:crying2: I took the NCLEX this morning and i feel like crap. The test stopped at 81 or so questions and all i kept telling myself after 75 was I still have a chance to prove my self...

Then the last question came...

That test was like no other test you will have to take in all your life. I want to just blink and have my results..

The wait is terrible and I don't wish this feeling on anyone.

This is horrible. I walked out feeling like UGHHHHHHH!

So true, so true.

If it's any consolation, mine shut off at 81 as well... and I passed ! SEE ? :D

I thought all kinds of crazy, self defeating thoughts as well... "why 81? It should have been 75 or 265... 81??? What's up with that? Oh no! Could that be BAD? "... etc., etc., etc.

Take a deep breath.. you'll get through this. We all did, you will, too.

Wish you the BEST !!! :)

:) ...81 cool ... maybe, just maybe... my path will follow.........

thanks

Thank you ! :)

Good luck to you! I took my test on Monday and it shut off at 205 and I found out last night on my states boards website that I was an official LPN!! I left feeling like I failed and I cried the entire way home and the rest of the night as well. The test was very hard, I had 5 select all that apply and lots of MS questions, Myasthenia Gravis, lots of respiratory and endocrine on it, no math, a few med questions, lots of if your patient said this what would you initially say to them and many like that, a few ethical questions and a few on nutrition and a few on peds. Honestly, I studied the heck out of my Saundres NCLEX-PN book and read up in my med surge book, just to refresh on certain diseases and disorders. Just remember to BREATHE, TAKE YOUR TIME and READ EACH QUESTION SLOWLY.....That advice came from one of the best instructors I had.

Again, Best of luck!!!

At least you don't have a long wait! When I took the boards in '88 - it was a two day process on a hot July summer day in a huge room filled with sweating nurses.

I didn't find out the results for MONTHS!!! Not until October - and then I found out a bit earlier as I got ahold of a phone number. I called and called - my phone was one of those old fashioned kind that you had to put your finger in the hole and spin the dial - my finger was falling off - no redial button. I finally got through, told the woman my name and was put on hold - now THAT is a long wait...finally she came back on and told me I had passed - I cried with happiness and she was very sweet. Wish I had had the sense to get her name and send her a thank you. ah the good old days.

I also want to thank all of you for the kind words of encouragement!!! I am an official RN!!!! WOOOOOOOWOOOOO :chuckle :balloons:

you deserve a big celebration now!:Melody: :biere: :w00t:
