-When you in the room with a gown, gloves and a mask; which one do you take first to last?

-Math questions that requires you to convert to kg. Lets say the patients weight came out to 98.634kg when you converted it. Do you round before you multiply it by the dose (lets say 0.5'kg/day) or do you immediately multiply it?

-How do you help urinary incontinence patient pee?

do you rub his outter or inner thigh?

do you pour cool water on his perineum or do you turn on the facet and run water?

Anyone has tips for prioritization questions? I been having trouble with them...

thanks :)

Hi,

1. According to the CDC, this is correct order for removing PPE: gloves, goggles/face shield, gown, mask/respirator. The correct order to put on: gown, mask/respirator, gogles/face shield, gloves.

2. According to Kaplan Review, don't round until the end - in other words, just divide the pounds by 2.2 and immediately multiply that long number by the ordered dose.

3. Not sure what you mean by this one - if Pt is incontinent aren't they already peeing? Are you asking about someone with retention? Or bowel retraining?

4. Do you have the Priority, Delegation & Assignment book by Linda LaCharity? It is very helpful and not that much money.

Good luck!

Remember for PPE is that gown FIRST! then mask or goggles then GLOVES LAST!!

For removing them some say gloves first but (according to Kaplan) UNTIE GOWN FIRST!! then gloves then mask and then gown.

LOL putting water on his/her perineum? I think it's turning on the faucet to facilitate urge to void. Hearing water drops makes you pee doesn't it? There are other ways too such as Crede's Maneuver. Pushing on the bladder to facilitate voiding
