PVT good pop up...too soon??

Students NCLEX

Published

Hi everyone. I just took the NCLEX and finished about two hours ago. Contrary to most people, I didn't find it THAT hard. Well, I found it to be easier than Kaplan, at least. I had a feeling it would shut down at 75 questions, and it did! Tons of SATA, prioritization, and drag and drop. I know alternate format questions don't really mean you're above the pass line though.

Because it wasn't as hard as I expected, I started to think I failed. I walked out confident but the more I thought about it, the more I thought that maybe I found them easier than expected because I failed. Maybe I failed miserably in 75 questions! So the first thing I did when I got home is try the PVT.

I got the "good pop up" ("our records indicate..."). My question is, is it too soon to do the PVT? I'm scared I got the good pop up and will end up failing!

Prioritization is the top category with NCLEX. So if you got a lot of those and it shut down at 75, then you most likely passed.

I just took mine yesterday 7/18/18 and I got 75 questions as well. Which means you passed with flying colors, or you failed miserably. I too got the "good pop up" and hour after I tested. I typed in my name on the BON website 24 hrs later and there it was! I'm now a RN! The PVT worked for me. I'm sure it worked for you too. So I'll say Congratulations you passed RN!!

Congrats RN!!! I'll be checking the BON site religiously every day (haha). I guess I'm just in complete disbelief because it wasn't as bad as people say it was. I didn't walk out feeling like a complete failure. Can't wait till those quick results come in!!

The same thing recently happened to me. I also didn't think it was that hard and passed at 75 questions. I would try the PVT trick again at 24 hrs but I have a good feeling you passed! Congrats RN!!!

Did you pass?!?!

I get my quick results tomorrow at 2PM! My name's still not on the BON but it hasn't been 24 hours yet. I also heard NY may take a while to put your name on the BON so I'm still waiting :/

You may have passed, since it worked for others it will work for you. Please how hard are the SATA questions or were you able to narrow it down. Any tip will be welcomed. I am still struggling with SATA questions
