Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

So, I took my NCLEX today for the 4th time. Previous times I did 75, 105, and 76 questions. Today, after 4 hours and 20 minutes of intense mind numbing torture, I completed 265 questions. I was devastated. I came home and managed to remember the last question of my exam and I googled it and felt better that I got it right. And after a lot of pep talk to myself, I tried the Pearson Vue Trick and this is the message I got!

"Our records indicate that you have recently scheduled this exam. Please contact your Member Board for further assistance. Another registration cannot be made at this time."

Heck yes! Im not going to fully celebrate yet but I know from previous experiences when it would take me straight to the credit card page that this is a GOOD SIGN! I was so skeptical my previous times, I always tried to convince myself that the pearson vue trick wasn't accurate, but then I would get my letter in the mail and I had failed. So I am optimistic that this actually DOES work and that I DID pass. Please keep your fingers crossed for me!

Congrats! What did you use to study this time around? Any tips you can share

As far as I know, the PV trick still works. I took the NCLEX twice, in January I was sent to the CC page and a couple days ago I took the exam and tried the trick and got the good pop up and found out today I passed. Congratulations! Be proud!

If I'm going to be completely honest, I think I passed because I DID study this time. I didnt change any of my material. I did the Hurst Review and failed last time. This time, I redid the Hurst review on site and went over the material over and over again. I also downloaded this really cool app called NCLEX RN Mastery. The questions were broken down into categories (medsurg, meds, peds, maternity, etc) and then subcategories. I didnt feel like they were really NCLEX type questions but it did help it me alot. For example, I would study renal and then answer the 85+ questions on renal in my app. The questions weren't so much critical thinking as much as knowledge base (if that makes any sense) but I think it was helpful.

Congrats. I am so happy for you.

I called the automated virginia board of nursing today to look up my license. I entered my social security number and yayyyy! I have a license!!!!!! PVT really did work!

Pvt really works guys. Took my nclex-rn luckily for the first time last feb 19. Finished at 117, went home after a few hours. Walked and walked just to clear my mind coz I was sure I did not pass due to very hard questions. Went home tried the PVT, got the good pop up. But I was still not sure, so I waited for my quick results to be available. Paid the amount and it said I passed! So PVT really works. After a week or so my license number was posted at the NYBON website. I studied Saunders for content finished the whole book. Then Kaplan strategies, and various sample questions mostly CDROM from kaplan.

Specializes in Med/surg tele, home health, travel.
