Congratulations I will believe the PVT if I get my RN I walked out knowing I failed. I never see posts that say I got the CC screen and I failed.

just wanted to write a post for anyone who tries the pvt and gets the lovely 'the candidate currently has test results that are on hold. a new registration cannot be created at this time.' message. i didn't see a lot of posts about it on here so i thought i would post. i took the test on saturday and couldn't get on the website until sunday due to the site being down for some reason and me forgetting my password...well when i got on finally i got that popup...it sucked everywhere on here it says your results will take longer, but i was able to get my quick results monday around 8pm..so not bad. best part of all i passed :d i took 75 questions in less than 40 minutes ...can't wait to get the letter in the mail now.

It's common sense really. It works because if you think about it, the computer knows immediatly if you passed- the results just need to be verified. So if you passed, it stops you from registering because as far as the computer knows, this is unecessary due to the fact that you have already taken and passed the test.

If you have failed, the computer will let you re-register (taking you to the credit card page) because the computer doesn't know if you copmpleted the test one hour ago or one week ago-all it knows is you failed, so therefore you will be needing to register to retake it.

In the poll, two people claimed it did not work for them- this isn't impossible, but I find that dubious. In a nother post, someone mentioned that they knew someone who believed they got the good pop-up only ot find out they failed. Later on, this person realized they had done the trick incorrectly, and had never received the good pop-up at all.

Thank you for trying to calm my fears, but it is a trick not something cast in stone. I am a person who needs something concrete.

PS I am obsessed with going back to PV and seeing if I still get the good pop-up and it keeps popping up!!

Has anyone called LVNPT lately to see what day they're on? I took the NCLEX-pn in CA on June. 26

Roxy_f, i took my NCLEX-PN on June 30 in CA. The wait is horrible, and i think in CA the wait could be up to 7 weeks? Have you been constantly checking your PVT results too, to check if the good pop up still shows?

I have been checking regularly....every time I get the good pop-up. This wait is awful

Ok. So I took my NCLEX-RN on Saturday July 10, 2010 in San Diego, CA. I had 75 questions. Most were SATA type questions which I really despise! It took my 3 hours to take that test (I'm a slow test taker). I walked out of that room feeling totally defeated. It was a very hard test. I thought I had failed because I never get SATA type questions totally correct. I waited to do the PVT the next morning and I got the "good pop-up." That relieved a lot of stress, but I still didn't want to believe I passed. After reading through this forum, I started to believe that I did pass.

I found out today (July 13) that I passed by going to the permanent license verification link on the California BRN website. I searched my name and next to it was RN listed by it! yahoo!!! I guess even though California doesn't have the quick results in 48 hours, from all the nursing people that I talked to here in San Diego, their names have been listed on the California BRN website by 72 hours after taking the NCLEX. I'm still awaiting my official results by snail mail which takes at least 4 weeks.

Now is the hard part....actually finding a job lol
