I took my NCLEX this morning and am freaking out!! I had about 120 questions and about 25-30 were SATA. How long do you have to wait to try the pv trick? Is four hours after taking the test to soon? My appt history says delivery successful and I am getting the good pop-up. Does this mean I passed???

I took my exam today at 8am. Like many of you, as I left the architecturally post-modern testing center (I could write a novel about the strangeness of this place alone, beginning with the water fountains) I felt distraught and discouraged by my experience with the NCLEX. I was an "A" student in my BSN program and did consistently well on my "ATI" preparatory tests (though I question the validity, without any proof one way or the other, of the "ATI" tests as an accurate predictor of NCLEX pass/fail rate...simply d/t the disparities in difficulty).

I made the mistake, regardless of whether I pass or fail, of only studying casually about 3 days total. It is now 6:44PM and I'm receiving the infamous "good pop-up." At the least, this entire experience, reading all of these posts on this and many other websites, would be a ripe arena for a Social Psychology study or two. Confirmation Bias & Group Think in the Context of relieving stress and anxiety etc. etc.

Anyway, I still believe, based strictly on my personal experience, that there is a chance I failed. Right after the exam if you'd forced me into a "Pass"/"Fail" life or death decision, I would have said "Fail." It says "Delivery Successful" and it's now 650PM, still also have the "good-message." Yet, while I don't doubt the relationship between that message and a "Pass," I'm concerned that the message, given a non-specific amount of time, will change in status from happiness inducing pop-up to allowing me access to my credit-card information. Anyway, will let y'all know either way. And, regardless of the outcome, I know I'll learn from this experience and be more mindful the next time.

PVT worked for me. I took it yesterday morning at 8. I got the good pop up. I can't even get quick results until tomorrow morning but my Lic. has already been posted on my states website with my lic. number issued!!!

Might not have been a mistake. I only had 1 1/2 days to practice questions. I practiced them for probably a total of 6-7 hrs over those 1 1/2 days. I got burnt out and gave up. I didn't plan to only have a short time but the way it worked out from me getting the ATT and taking NCLEX was a couple days. I passed. I already had my Lic. issued and have my Lic. number and I took NCLEX yesterday morning. I got the good pop up and was shut off at 75 questions. I have read thousands of posts and have yet to see one person say they got the good pop up and then turned out bad.

    IT WORKS!!!

Do you mind me asking what state you are in? I tested this morning @ 10:30 am and was able to do PVT around 1:00 pm. I got the good pop up, but like many people on here, I left the test feeling like I completely bombed it. However, I did have mostly SATA and priority questions, which I have heard is a good sign.

This is completely nerve wracking just waiting!!

I really want to Thank Everyone for their post on this thread...I tested yesterday at 8am...walked out like many...KNOWING I would have to kick out the funds to re-test. This was my 1st time testing, I prayed that God come through and sit with me as I took the NCLEX-RN...when the computer went blue at question75...All i wanted was 1 more question...Anyway came home and end up at allnurses.com and learned about the trick...I also got a "good popup" but still cant believe this is legit...However, the ease that it has given is great...Cant wait to see what the official results are. Even if PVT was not right... the relaxation that it has created is GRAND...

    Hey everyone,

PVT "good-message" correlation worked for me as well. This has been an interesting meditation on our collective desire for instant gratification and also should necessitate thinking about ways to deal with stress and anxiety.

I wish everyone the best of luck, pass or non-pass, and I'm available by message on this site if anyone has any questions re: NCLEX prep or other issues.

    Be well,

    - Jacob

It worked for me. I took my exam on Monday at 8am, got all 265 questions and of course I was convinced I had failed so since I had nothing to lose I checked through Pearson Vue to see if I could register for the exam once again and got the message that said to contact the Board for more info. The next day I did it again and got the same message...then I went on the Florida Board of Nursing site, clicked on "Exam Results" and it said "PASS" next to my name. Two days after my exam, my license number was already posted on the BON site.

Good Luck to everyone who will be taking the test!

i believe you passed. i tried the trick twice, i took nclex-rn in december and it let me go put credit card info, then 2 days later found out i failed, through quick result, took the nclex-rn again last may 12, 2011, im afraid to do the trick again but i still did it anyway as soon i got home, but my profile says, "ready for delivery" and gives me pop up but in different wording like "the candidate has an open registration for this exam, a new registration cannot be created at this time" so i have to wait like 2 hours and when i saw the status that says " delivery successful " i tried the trick again and still getting the same pop up... after 30 mins i tried the trick again and ecstatic when i got the good pop up they are talking about "our records indicate that you have recently scheduled this exam. please contact your member board for further assistance. another registration cannot be made at this time." after 2 days , 49 hours exactly after i sit for the exam and i saw the word "pass" through quick result.... relax now i believe you pass.
